President Obama didnt want any advice from Congress on the decision to ask GM CEO Rick Wagoner to resign, according to Carl Levin (D), Michigans senior senator.
He didnt ask us about it, he informed us, Levin told reporters in a conference call Monday afternoon. The president said hed already decided.
Levin said he and three other lawmakers were informed of the decision in a phone call Obama made from the Oval Office. Obama told the members of Congress that Wagoner needed to resign so that the administration could show the public it was making an effort at a fresh start with helping the auto industry, according to Levin.

I guess there actually are consequences to (begging for and) receiving Taxpayer funds so you can continue to operate your business.
Did all these CEO’s (morons) who took (stole) Taxpayer monies think they could continue doing whatever they wanted to, free from interference from their newest (and biggest) partner??
This makes perfect sense to me, and I don’t even have an Ivy League degree.

"Am I completely ignorant? Where the hell does anyone in government find the authority to fire anyone in the private sector? How did obama goa about this?" Don't look now but I think we are officially a country under the jackboot of: a) communism, b) fascism, or c) dictator, d) all the above.

Does anyone wonder now why Obama wants to meet up with dictatorial rulers? To gloat, obviously...
"You guys had to kill/murder to get power...I got my a$$ elected by the people. Chumps!".
Nice. The "leader" of our country now thinks he has the power to:
Decide how much money you can make
Whether or not you can be fired from a PRIVATE sector job
Spend OUR money like there is no tomorrow
I actually long for the days of Carter...he was also inept, but at least we didn't have such bad financial problems (they weren't good, but not catastrophic like this)

And, what about separation of corporation and state. It was in a letter to a church by Thomas Jefferson.

I streamed the WJR (local Detroit station) this morning and during Rush. The local news broadcast a number of interviews with GM UAW workers who were not pleased with Obama’s ousting of Wagoner. I was stunned. Two of the interviewed used the word socialist.
To: cripplecreek
Wait till they figure out that Wagoner walks away with a 200 million dollar retirement package. I'm sure has a nice deal set up, and I'm sure the MSM and the Dems will demand he not take a penny. I hope he takes it all and laughs at them

No it doesn't make sense because the democrats deliberately made sure the bonuses would be paid and then unleashes public outrage on those who accepted what was given. Joseph Goebbels would be proud to pull a stunt like this one.

Wow. What a leader. He did it all by himself, with no one to help him. Isn’t that a wonderful show of independence and fortitude? President Imanuel is really proving himself to be the gret man that he is.

Ironically, Pharaoh really ruled absolutely. Obama is someone’s puppet. An articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking puppet, but a puppet nonetheless.
