North Korea Launch Vehicle On The Pad (Sat. Imagery)
Global Security ^ | 03/29/2009 | Global Security

Posted on 03/30/2009 6:30:36 AM PDT by Aglooka

New imagery of the Musudan-ri Missile Test Site taken on 29 March 2009, released by DigitalGlobe shows what clearly appears to be a three-stage launch vehicle on the launch pad. Based on imagery alone, it cannot be determined whether this is a Taepo-dong ICBM or a space launch vehicle carrying the Kwangmyeongseong-2 (Lodestar) satellite payload. News reporting from DoD officials have indicated that North Korea has been in the process of loading the first and second stages on the launch pad.

This commercial satellite imagery obtained from DigitalGlobe, clearly confirms recent NBC News reporting from DoD officials that North Korea was in the process of loading the first two lower stages of the rocket.

The service-level swing arms appear to be rotated away from the launch vehicle. The loading of liquid fuel from nearby fuel storage buildings and final check-out procedures could take place in the next few days.

Aren’t those building a little too close to the pad?

This is NOT from one of our DOD Sats.

Correct.

If it was, you would be able to see minute scratches on the surface of the missile’s skin.

Wrong.

Also, they can detect if there is any radiation contained in the warhead (if one is in place) prior to launch.

Wrong.

Of course, we have U-2 reconnaissance aircraft flying overhead.

Wrong.

1/4 ain't too bad.

This is what strikes me about that NK missile test site.

Doesn’t this look like some redneck setting up a 4th of July fireworks display in his backyard? I mean, does this REALLY look like a spaceport?

Just more reason to support the Obama Doctrine of disarmament to promote the greenness of our planet to feel better.

We are WAAAAY too paranoid with our sovereignty. /sarc

they dont want to shoot that missle down because it would legitimize the idea of missle defense systems, which would kill him with his fellow libs.

I think Obama’s stock would rise in a huge way if he shot that baby down. Hell we might as well close this website down. LOL

We could shoot this down without any problem. I suspect we won’t have to. No shots will be fired but the missile will go down. That’s my gut hunch.

Mighty nice of them to provide us with a target, however.

You’re welcome.

I’d wager if PM Winston Churchill, General & President Dwight David Eisenhauer, General Patton, General McArthur, were they here today, would have made it toast by now. The defenders of right are gone. Our people, and our nation, are defended by wussies.

The wussies we employee to defend us, will sacrifice us while trying to be politically polite in order to appease a UN which despises us.

And if your hunch is wrong? I do not want to rely on gut hunches. Take it out where it sits now! This justified action eliminates all the risks. NK is a sworn enemy. They have no right to target practice to learn how to annihilate us.

More evidence that Reagan and Bush were right about needing a missile shield. MAD is just that.

The left knew it could work. That it is why they were opposed to it. The left usually does what's in the best interests of our enemies, in this case Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, etc.

If it were me we could witness the result of tomahawk strike on that launch pad as soon as they fill it with fuel. They are not permitted ANY of these ICBM tests even under the guise of an satellite launch. The technology is the same.

Its obvious they have concealed the nose cone of this thing so I assume its a thermonuclear devise. Shoot first, ask questions later. They will know as soon as they pull the shroud off the cone. If its not a satellite, hit it with a cruse missile before it launches.
