From the day the founding Fathers risked their liberty and life by signing the Declaration of Independence, there has been those who have wanted to sink this great ship called the United States of America. Well 143 years later the good ship America took a torpedo hit that at the time seemed like just another glancing blow. What many still consider the greatest step forward in equality for the sexes, was more then just a glancing blow however. It was in fact a deadly strike that entered the very heart of the ship and has been smoldering since. The damage caused by the 19th amendment was slow in its destruction, but after almost 100 years we can now see how complete the destruction really was.

Great job to you all. Wish I found this thread sooner! : )
Me too. I arrived with my pack of sarcasm after everybody else had enough sarcasm. Better luck next time.
That’s ok Bykrbayb, there will be other threads, lol. Maybe, I’ll be more energenic and up for more then.
Yeah, but will I be in the mood then? LOL
Anyway, you ladies did a great job.
Patience, I am working on another opinion piece. Although you may find you will less insulted by it then you were with this, but I hope the debate is as lively.
You two think you were real hard on my article. You should read some of the comments I got on Post Scripts. It seems someone alerted democratunderground.com about the article so it has been very very enlightening. These people are so crude most of there comments had to be deleted. It seems they only know how to use four letter words for adjectives.
There were a lot of good rebuttals though, and I found the whole exercise enlightening.
Taking the vote away from women is NOT going to happen. Therefore, all these threads do is anger and divide us. NOT a good idea.
I have read the entire article and all the comments and I’ve come to a conclusion: rather than entertain the thought of a time without women’s suffrage, I would prefer to have my hour back.
So it was supposed to be *fun* to experiment the thought of a woman being barred from the polls? As if men hold no fault in ANYTHING that has occurred in the past 100 years? or better yet, thousands of years of government and society?
Men aren’t emotional? Women don’t think logically?
Are these really the conclusions we’ve come to as conservatives? We’re really going to make FR look like this? Do we not have enough things to worry about in today’s time than to further divide us like this? All because it’s supposed to be *fun*? Then excuse me, sir, but you’re letting your emotions get in the way of logistics as we speak.
And then because there are women who are upset that so many here on FR fancy this idea, the ones who oppose it are used as examples as to why we shouldn’t have ever had the right to cast a ballot. You’re pretending the idea to take away someone’s right and we aren’t supposed to get upset?
There are plenty of men who are completely incapable of making a sandwich or using a toaster, or finding the Clorox at the grocery store, but because a woman bleeds once a month, that clearly makes them too stupid and emotional to vote.
Give me a break.
That is soooooo hypocritical in light of This statement on OneVike's homepage, and I copy and paste.....
"Later I realized that the Democrats never left me, I never had common beliefs with them in the first place. I was just thinking emotionally instead of logically."
And who thinks that women should never have had the vote for WHAT reason again?
Jen, we needed you around yesterday. Thanks for you post. I think we were nothing more than mice in his little experiment. I won’t be participating in his next one.
I find it amazing that as someone who argues that a woman’s emoitions keep her from thinking logically, this guy spends time in his day ENVOKING emotional responses in a public forum because it’s *fun*.
Nope, no emotion there. That’s all logic, I tell ya!
I’m sorry. I only stumbled on this mess this afternoon. And while I’m glad there are other conservative women here to agree with me, I wish I never read this crap.
It reminds me of drunken guys are a bar who egg females on to fight and then laugh at them for doing it. *Ooooo, look, she’s mad....*.
There’s something wrong with a guy who gets his kicks that way.
As I said before, America affects the world, therefore 0Bama affects the world. He doesn't have to be President of Canada to have an affect here.
Just the ones you are on, and it's not personal. You and I first started posting to each other on this thread after you said Earthdweller was posting 'commie lies'.
Almost every post that you make to me is personal and includes insults and is rarely related to the topic or includes any pertinent facts, getting involved with my post to earthdweller is an example, read your posts to me on this thread.
I was correct earthdweller was lying , would not give a source, would not drop the claim, and I was correct and if you look at post 276 you will see who started talking about “commie tricks” and “commies” it would save a lot of time if you would read the entire threads and not jump in on other posters behalf for personal reasons.
And I have have had to remind you about cross thread stalking on threads that I am not even on.
The main thing is that you need to make an effort to stay with facts and relevant information rather than the personal.
And no, my president is not your president, “we” did not have candidates in “our” primary.
Shaking my head again...
Did you mean to ping me, is there some kind of group think thing going on here at FR that I don’t know about?
Thanks for the ping. You don’t really want me to comment do you? WEFG
