I understand there is a new anti-freeper site started by disgruntled former and present Mormon FReepers and it is their intention of bankrupting FR during the coming Freepathon by withholding their donations and disrupting our activities. Well, all I can say is, if they feel that badly against FR, by all means they should withhold their donations and drop out of FR. But it they attempt to disrupt our operations I will guarantee they will no longer be members of FR. If that is their wish, so be it.
I'm not going to try to defend FR from their claims of religious persecution, but I will say that Mormons have and always have had free reign to post their threads on FR just as all other religious groups have enjoyed. Free Republic defends the right to freedom of religion and has always welcomed religious discussion and always will. And Mormons have always been welcome here. I have absolutely nothing against Mormons.
If you are one who has left or is leaving, I wish you well, but disruption of FR is not welcome and will not be tolerated.
And this is not the first time such activity has been attempted by groups of disgruntled former FReepers. Good luck with that. There is always some group that feels FR should be bent to their way of thinking and end up saying my way or the highway. Well, I don't know about you, but I'm not changing so I guess it's the highway. Is it Feb 8 yet?
God bless.

What you call “a Mormon anti-Free Republic group” is one mans attempt to stop the repeated use of lies to back up claims against my Church here at FR.
Remember, I do not complain about showing the differences in our beliefs, I complain about how some choose misrepresent our teachings and our history as a way to back up what they believe to be true.
And you have not spoken up about the use of lies as a proof.
You didn’t say nice things about JimRob over on your Mormon site. I think you owe JR an apology (accusing him of using this issue as a money raising scheme-I’m surprised at you seven)
And yes, I read your post over on spammy’s site, it doesn’t erase what you said amongst your friends at MADD.
And exactly how would you suggest the "hard-core" be SAT ON?
Call out the Danites? FastCoyote can probably give you a phone number or two for the modern-day enforcers.
Bring it on I say...
I think it was coincidental how it was posted the day before the start of the quarter, yes. This guy at SPAM is a paranoid case. Why should Jim worry about him at all?
The only real following his site has is from yesterday’s post. That’s the only way I or I would venture to say any of us were even aware of it.
This post deserves a good bumping!
You seem to be saying that it is alright to lie to make a point.
He can do to me what he wants. I think it’s beneath him to even raise the issue of this guy over there. He doesn’t need to be elevated to the status he has been. He’s certainly not a threat to FR.
Ironically, you've done more to convince me of the wrongheadedness of Mormonism than anything else I've encountered. Congratulations!
Just a quick one between meetings. As someone who is a convert of about 35 years, served a mission for the church, held numerous leadership positions, been to the temple hundreds of times, has & currently serves in the temple, I think I might have a good idea of what our church tenets are.
And you?

Please. After you said this?
What I do find interesting about it is the timing of this post by Jim Robinson. His quarterly fundraising starts tomorrow, and his base knows where their bread is buttered. This seems like nothing more than a cleverly disguised plea for money, to help offset those wily Mormons. It's working to, from the looks of the 1200 plus replies.
“Do you think it is right for your fellow Christian to use a lie to prove something you believe in?”
I’ve not seen a Christian lie to prove anything I believe
in. They don’t have to Fred. The whacked out moromonism
stuff hangs itself logically and theologically.
I don’t see Christian trying to divert any reader. I see
Christians posting quotes by your founder, leaders and
articles from mormonism publications.
best,
ampu
Oh Fred, you are our best player...
I think the point needs to me made for “the readers” that I actually said you should bring something to the table every time you our your faith is challenged, like our Catholic Friends do so the issue can be laid to rest.
You never really do that, because you have nothing to offer except obfuscation and slight of hand...
Like you offered here....
You do know that JR has been threated before by Mormons. Why do you think he should put up with this crap on his own site?
I dont understand how you can claim posters here lie about what it is Mormons believe when you are either unable or unwilling to answer simple theological questions
+++++++
Others will do that, and better then I can, I am just teaching you and others how some posters chose to misuse the truth as a tool to prove their thoughts that this Church is wrong.
You do want to insure you only use the truth when teaching your beliefs, don’t you?
Thanks. I’m with you. We have bigger fish to fry.
It took the Romney supporter attacks on on Thompson and Hunter to make me look into them. This is all I saw, empty hands and lots of endless rhetoric...
