Take the Limbaugh Challenge (Good Read!)
Los Angeles Times ^ | March 29, 2009 | Andrew Klavan

Posted on 03/29/2009 6:33:46 AM PDT by kellynla

If you are reading this newspaper, the likelihood is that you agree with the Obama administration's recent attacks on conservative radio talker Rush Limbaugh. That's the likelihood; here's the certainty: You've never listened to Rush Limbaugh.

Oh no, you haven't. Whenever I interrupt a liberal's anti-Limbaugh rant to point out that the ranter has never actually listened to the man, he always says the same thing: "I've heard him!"

On further questioning, it always turns out that by "heard him," he means he's heard the selected excerpts spoon-fed him by the distortion-mongers of the mainstream media. These excerpts are specifically designed to accomplish one thing: to make sure you never actually listen to Limbaugh's show, never actually give him a fair chance to speak his piece to you directly.

By lifting some typically Rushian piece of outrageous hilarity completely out of context, the distortion gang knows full well it can get you to widen your eyes and open your mouth in the universal sign of Liberal Outrage. Your scrawny chest swelling with a warm sense of completely unearned righteousness, you will turn to your second spouse and say, "I'm not a liberal, I'm a moderate, and I'm tolerant of a wide range of differing views -- but this goes too far!"

There is more untruthfulness in that statement than in a speech by President Obama.

Not all have really (("SEEN")) the Matrix(movie) yet.. LoL..
A friend and I SAW the implications from the git go..
The implications are scary real...

Answers how America could "do" Bush Sr., the Clinton's, Bush Jr., Mclaim and Obama.. and handle Vince Foster, Chinagate, The Clinton death list, and Bush Jr.s big spending ways and the Marxist Obama.. not to speak of Sandy the Burgular, the Freddie and Fannie debacles.. with not so much as a grunt.. OR with barely a grunt..

I once experienced an encounter with an unusually virulent Rush hater. He, too, had “heard” Rush through selected excerpts. The man, a self-described Rabbi, expressed the fervent wish he could grind a broken glass (goblet) into
El Rushbo’s forehead.

As a conservative I love Rush. I do have one criticism of Rush though. In fact nothing or little is being done. We need to organize and act to campaign agiainst Obama , to actively solicit people door to door to not accept Obama's plans call meetings to do the same.. If we do not, we give up the field to Obama. Dr. Bob Basso is anexample of what Obama fears the most, that conservatives campaign against him, which is why Dr. Basso has been summoned tothe White House for his Thomas Paine Video.

Action is required, and Rush guides us in thought but gives the impression that something is being done, when very little is being done, compared to what Obama is doing.

Rush’s substance is that he is a great political analyst who has the Libs totally pegged. And he is also entertaining: most entertaining is how he utterly infuriates the Left.

And it has nothingto do with his content or attitude in battling leftists.

Listening to Rush and Reading him makes US feel as if something is getting DONE to resist Obama.

That’s very good. But it won’t happen. Liberals won’t listen to anyone who disagrees with liberal dogma. Liberals will continue to make up stories about Elrushbo so as to convince as many people as possible that he is racist/sexist/homophobe.

It always amazes me to hear liberals say with all intensity that Rush always “Cuts people off rudely” or “Overshouts callers who disagree with him” or a boatload of other out and out lies that makes it obvious they’ve NEVER actually sat down and listened to him for an entire show or even a week!

Easier to swallow the party line full of lies!

I guess McDonalds is still legal in your state?

So far. But public smoking will soon be banned here in North Carolina, so McDonald's can't be far behind.

EXCUSE ME! I didn’t realize that my freedom of speech was dependent on what a bunch of idiots did. And while we are on the subject of idiots, what state has sent Pelosi, Boxer and Feinstein to Versailles on the Potomac?

What, nothing but girly-men in CALIF politics?

In my office’o’libs someone keyed up a youtube of Rush’s address to CPAC saying, “might as well listen to what he’s got to say”.

Several other local office libs were also interested and pulled their chairs up to watch the screen.

Then, while Rush was being introduced, even before he took the mike, they guy who originally said he wanted to watch said, “I can’t listen to this gasbag” and turned it off.

The others slid meekly away back to their own lib-encrusted desks.

It was a truly, truly pathetic sight of total and absolute intellectual cowardice.

The entire piece was spot on but I agree with you; the line saying, "...you will turn to your second spouse..." really was classic. I posted the article on my facebook page using that line as the teaser. My pinko friends will feel their ears turn red because it describes them to a tee.

ha, I have mentioned that before to some Liberals, and they say, “Well it takes a lot of money to fix what Bush and the Republicans did the last 8 years.”

No logic at all, just hate bush hate bush.

I would challenge Liberals to come to Free Republic - when I first started reading posts hear (about 2 years before I joined up) I would have thought I was fairly middle of the road to conservative. Coming here made me realise I didn’t have a clue! Even after I joined up I was somewhat hesitant at even posting as some of the minds here would have ripped me to shreds.

Sadly not all of the great minds are still alive and some of the others don’t post as often as they used to. Or maybe it’s just that I got a bit of an education but I am only just a wee bit afraid just before I push the POST button nowadays!

Cheers

Mel
