"I don't think he was ordered to live a more modest lifestyle," Schwartz said. "Is it better Mr. Kilpatrick drives a beat-up Yugo?"Is this not the very thing that the POLITICIANS are asking every American to do??????

There is a lot of BS factor here....he moved to the number one per capita income area of Texas...Southlake outside the DFW area. This guy should be in prison, not hobnobbing with the rich and wannabe famous in Southlake.

FWIW, I spoke recently with a let go Compuware employee.
For those in Reo-Linda, the firm that hired the Quamster was a division of Compuware which raises the questions, did they offer him this job to get him ? Was this a Quid-Pro-Quo?
The bottom line I get the impression many within Compuware are pissed.....

Looks like this criminal is being paid $10,000 a month. The court should take their $6,000 and let the criminal adjust his life style to what is left after taxes.

Schwartz wrote that Kilpatrick's monthly expenses -- including $2,700 for rent and $900 to lease a new Cadillac Escalade -- total $9,994, leaving him only $6. Poor baby.

I know I am pissed. I am an IT Professional with over 20 years of experience and I cannot find a job.
This moron is a convicted criminal and not only does he get a job, it’s with a computer company.

First: A tip of the hat to a FINE example of Afro-American chutzpah, exactly how different is this from Madoff's former $7 million prison cell?
Second: Anytime I hear / see a defense lawyer, I assume that they are lying when their mouth moves. Remember, they are the equivalent of an Old West paid gunslinger, they will use anything and everything to help their client.
Third: To expect a convicted felon to voluntarily cough-up restitution when there is no imminent threat of 'hard time' is to tell the tide to go back.
Finally: I doubt sincerely that Detroit will ever see even 10% of this restitution from this poltroon politician who helped put a formerly prosperous city into eternal debt.
