'The O’Reilly Factor' Criticizes the 'Liberalization' of CNBC
NewsBusters ^ | March 28, 2009 | Jeff Poor

More and more are starting to take notice of CNBC's dramatic shift to the left and the liberal groups promoting it.

On Fox News Channel's March 27 "The O'Reilly Factor," host Bill O'Reilly and Bernard Goldberg, author of "A Slobbering Love Affair: The True (And Pathetic) Story of the Torrid Romance Between Barack Obama and the Mainstream Media" took a look at trends pointing to this shift that started after the feud between "Mad Money" host Jim Cramer and "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart.

O'Reilly cited a column written by NewsBusters Associate Editor Noel Sheppard on March 26 for The Washington Examiner that noted some of the things indicating CNBC's leftward swing.

Pretty solid critique, but could this be what Fox Business needs to get some traction - CNBC caving to the left-wing attack machine...

CNBC’s Dylan Ratigan is gone, and all in one day. He was best on there, along with Rick Santelli, and Larry Kudlow. At least they made it more interesting, as stocks aren’t the most interesting topic in world. There is a guy named “Danny” who is so Obamafied it’s nauseating.

O’reilly is scum.

You apparently think it's more important to criticize O'Rielly than it is to criticize "C" as-in-commie NBC.

I watch Fox Business Only! I use to watch CNBC, but saw how they began manipulating the market by slanting the overall sentiment regarding the days news. Subtle, but clear.

O’reilly is a bit overbearing, but I watch. He, like Hannity, is consumed with “self”.

O’Reilly is a plant. Plants are harder to fight than outright leftists like NBC. He’s a face, there to tell you everything’s A-OK. Everything is not A-OK.

And like the OP says, he’s only criticizing CNBC now for commercial reasons. Plants like O’Reilly are extremely dangerous.

You have no idea what you are talking about. O'Reilly has no credibility whatsoever, especially after his softball interviews with HRC and, most recently, 0. As for CNBC, it is probably the most objective station on TV. Yes, that Danny guy is a far left lib and totally mis-cast, but the station has plenty well entrenched conservatives. It's far superior to Fox Business. (I wouldn't give FBC more than another year before it is disassembled.)

The MSM is filled with JUDAS GOATS. The trick is to separate them from the good guys.

If you aren’t familiar with that expression, look it up.

Are you referring to Denny Deutsch (sp)? He strikes me as a total Obamatool. I hate it when he’s on Power Lunch or the program that follows Kudlow’s 7 PM show.

I haven’t watched CNBC in years. I recently turned it on. My God, what happened to Maria Bartiromo? She was a pretty hot little thing years ago. She looks huge. I bet she got married.

Interesting comment, as I have had some doubts on the distractions from REAL POINTS.

She was a pretty hot little thing years ago.

The operative words are "years ago".
