I wonder how long before Obama, Ried and Pelosi outlaw Norman Rockwell paintings?

I've always found that Norman Rockwell piece very intriguing -- and even a bit disturbing.

The first two "freedoms" he presents are well-established liberties that are enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.

The last two are nothing more than utopian, collectivist nonsense that have no place in a free nation. One of the sobering realities of human existence is that we are forced to contend with "want" and "fear" on a regular basis. What separates us from animals is that we are capable of facing them, and dealing with them.

Freedom from Want? Freedom from Fear?

Things that sound good, but the only way to Freedom from Want is a socialist “paradise”.

And Freedom from Fear? How is someone going to achieve that?!

If a couple of homosexuals or Islamists tell me they’re afraid of my religion ... does my church get outlawed, and do I go to jail?

FDR wanted those extras. Here's the freedom worth fighting for...

Speech, no-state sponsored religion, freedom to defend yourself, trial by jury, no unwarranted search and seizure, free and open election of representatives, etc., etc.

IOW, the things ennumerated in the US constitution and Bill of Rights.

IMHO, those added by Rockwell in FDRs time are constructs that allow the state to do the very things we are defending against.

Obama is all for this. He speaks of those same types of "freedoms" all the time. It is not surprising. He is an abject marxist ideolog.
