>>Good grief. More sour grapes from the anonymous “staffers”.<<

That part does suck.

>>Palin told the story in a speech to a GOP dinner in Alaska last Friday.

“So I’m looking around for somebody to pray with, I just need maybe a little help, maybe a little extra,” she said of the moments before the debate. “And the McCain campaign, love ‘em, you know, they’re a lot of people around me, but nobody I could find that I wanted to hold hands with and pray.” <<

But that is a pretty crappy thing for Palin to say.

I misread that. I thought she was saying that she could not find anyone to pray with. If that quote is accurate, that does seem crappy.

Eh. Considering the pure Hell that woman and her family were put through, I can understand her candor. Strictly my opinion here, but I think Sarah Palin had quite an eye-opening glimpse into a world that would send most free thinking Americans such as ourselves, running for their gun and a printing press. She stayed the course, which is more than I could promise, given the way her family, and friends were vilified.

Truth sometimes hurts. Something liberals don’t comprehend.

Sometimes, the truth is painful.

Might be a crappy thing to say but I guess she's honest. Or that is the way I read it, ......

[ nobody I could find that I wanted to hold hands with and pray.”]

Sounds like she didn't see anyone around she either liked enough or wanted to be in pray with......... Her choice as I see it.

I took it as implying there weren’t Christians among those staffers. Not a reach to believe that. It’s info for Christians.

In my Band of Brothers meeting last week a friend of the group has cancer, and asked for people to pray for him, but "only if they beieve in the power of God to heal him". I think Sarah wanted to pray with someone who believed in her...

the "crappy" part of the story is she didn't see anyone in the McCain camp that believed in her.

Sometimes the truth hurts. I don't think we know the full story of what was happening behind the scenes. Palin was being blasted from the outside....sounds like she was taking it internally as well.

Remember how these people attacked her after the election. I certainly would not call that loyal.
