'I'm having a very good crisis,' says Soros as hedge fund managers make billions off recession

By Mail Foreign Service 25th March 2009

George Soros said the current economic crisis has been the culmination of his life's work

A hedge fund manager who predicted the global credit crunch has said the financial crisis has been 'stimulating' and the culmination of his life's work.

George Soros, who predicted the global financial crisis twice before, was one of the few people to anticipate and prepare for the current economic collapse.

Mr Soros said his prediction meant he was better able to brace his Quantum investment fund against the gloabal storm.

But other investors failed to take notice of his prediction and his decision to come out of retirement in 2007 to manage the fund made him $US2.9 billion.

And while the financial crisis continued to deepen across the globe, the 78-year-old still managed to make $1.1 billion last year.

'It is, in a way, the culminating point of my life’s work,' he told national newspaper The Australian.

Soros is one of 25, top hedge fund managers from across Wall Street who have defied the credit crunch crisis to reap a total of $11.6billion (£7.9bn) last year.

"If he doesn’t have the Jesus hedge fund..." which he doesn't since he is Jewish by birth, and an atheist now.

Has anyone heard of any links between Soros and the CFR? I suppose he belongs to the CFR like anyone who is anyone, but have you heard if he was conniving with them in some way? Or is he a lone wolf?

It would appear that many super wealthy CFR types are smarting from all the huge loses to many of the top banks.

'I'm having a very good crisis,' says Soros

SO is Obama....Clinton and Geithner. They all said 'Why waste a good crisis?' Indicating to me that they would prefer to deepen and extend it as much as possible.

He leaves a smell of sulfur when he passes through a room. I’m surprised that lightening doesn’t strike him. We can all pray for a natural disaster to hit wherever he resides.

What Soros needs the most he can not buy...repentance and belief in Christ.

When he dies, I’m going to have a party.

If he dies a miserable, prolonged death, I’ll order two desserts.

It's not that he makes billions.. It's how he makes them.. By shorting currencies and toppling countries economies. He is on the Darkside.

...since he's profiting of the failure of the economy, I guess this means he was hoping for, indeed preparing for President Bush to fail. His continued success also then relies upon the failure of Obama...

Where's the outrage?

I think the economic collaps was the culiminating point of his career because he helped to create it and destroy whatever chance McCain/Palin had of winning the election, thus installing his guy, Barack. Oh, yeah, so he also made $1.1b.

“Soros needs a 99.9% tax rate, don’t you think?”

It’s never right for the government to punish the successful with high taxes.

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

We all need to take heed of that but I sort of doubt Soros is looking for wisdom from the Bible. In the end he will be a soul who must face judgment like the rest of us.

Will ACORN bus a crowd to picket Soros' Mansions?

I wouldn't be surprised to see ACORN change its tune with regard to Soros. On the other hand, how many conservatives will rightly condemn the arrogance of Soros while applauding the arrogance of those among the rich who threaten to "go Galt" on the rest of us?

The communist Soros is mad, but many times mad and violent people like him rule in an evil world and in evil countries.

"A hedge fund manager who predicted the global credit crunch has said the financial crisis has been 'stimulating' and the culmination of his life's work."

Well well, isn't this a direct admission of espionage to destroy the American economy? After all, he has always said in the past that he hated capitalism, (even though he makes billions because of it) and would like to see it fail.

This @ss should be arrested and hung after a brief chinese commie trial.

"God does not like this man. I’m certain of it."

Nobody does. That's why he's a bitter, miserable old man. He knows in his own black heart that he doesn't have a single friend in the entire world, never mind anyone who actually loveshim. He has to buy all his "friends".

"I wonder how much taxpayer bailout money goes to Soros. Maybe that’s why Bernanke wants to keep it secret, but if even if it does not go to him directly, there is a lot of indirect enrichment going on."

The wolves are in charge of the hen house, it's quite Obvious. It's amazing in fact, that they don't even try to hide what good pals they all are. I guess it's because they know nobody is going to, or are able to do anything about it. They own the media, the courts, and now the entire government, and have more than half the population worshiping the ground their puppet walks on, and the other half of the population too busy trying to make a living to take time off and go buy pitchforks and propane powered torches.
