WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama's pick for the No. 2 post at the Environmental Protection Agency is removing himself from consideration.
Jon Cannon, a professor of environmental law at the University of Virginia, says he is withdrawing as the nominee for deputy EPA administrator because of scrutiny surrounding the America's Clean Water Foundation.

Thats fine. I do not have a problem with salty language. That is free expression. It crosses the line with blasphemy. I have used swear words here and there. There is a line, much like we have freedom of speech, yet cannot yell fire in a crowded theater. Some words just shouldn’t be said in combination, and God and da#& are two of them.

EPA has always been a mixed bag. Some good people and programs; some dumb as dog crap and wacko.
Time for the Inspector General over there to get off of his/her ass and do a real proctological inspection of the EPA. Under Browner and some of the other ecofreaks now in the Administration, things are going to become unreal.
PS: I’ve been in the environmental cleanup arena for almost 20 years and I’m fearful that the looney tunes are going to destroy the good work that we have done.
