Obama's just not that into you
Jewish World Review ^ | March 25, 2009 | Dick Morris and Eileen McGann

Does President Obama truly believe that he can castigate and condemn Wall Street on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and then secure its cooperation on the other days of the week?

Does he not understand that when he ignites a public furor over AIG bonuses and then incites Congress to pass a punitive tax, he sends shivers down the spines of every other corporate executive who makes a lot of money?

Does he seriously believe that Wall Street investors will not worry that their winnings, should they join the Treasury as partners in risky investments, would be subject to public abuse, publicity and confiscatory taxation?

Of course he realizes that his rhetoric makes it unlikely that his program will succeed. He obviously gets it that the entire concept of a public-private partnership is impossible amid a climate of waging class warfare, taxing the rich and heaping contempt on anyone who makes money. The president [...] understands that you cannot shake hands with your right while you launch a roundhouse with your left.

So why does Obama persist in his aggressive rhetoric? Why does he continue to treat Wall Street as something out of Dante's Inferno?

Because he's just not that into you! He doesn't really care if the public-private partnerships work out.

He sends Geithner out to announce the program because he doesn't want to make it his own. When he announces a stimulus plan or a new spending bill, it's Obama's moment before the teleprompter. But the public-private partnerships he leaves to his Treasury secretary to announce.

The most rational explanation for Obama's puzzling conduct — sabotaging his own program by way of his own rhetoric — is that he truly wants to be forced to nationalize the banks in pursuit of his ultimate goal of a socialist economy.

I don't think Obama's initial endorsement of the anti-bonus crusade was a deliberate effort to sabotage Geithner's rescue plan. Obama is a socialist and was expressing his view of the world -- scorn of business and businesspeople -- just as he did with Joe the Plumber. When Obama exposes too much of his real views there is pushback, and Obama backtracks a little, because he wants to preserve the power to push his radical agenda.

The most rational explanation for Obama's puzzling conduct

The most rational explanation for Obama's puzzling conduct is that he's a quota hire with the IQ of a can of peas.

Never attribute to malice that which can be readily explained by rank incompetence.

He couldn’t run a Dairy Queen.

No, he could not.

Literally.

And therein lies the problem.

You are correct. He is so far over his head, he has ZERO idea what he is doing. He is not only inexperienced but inept, arrogant, and thinks the Treasury is his to spend like his own bank account that got filled up by the Chicago thugs. Never really held a job where he had to work and not doing a good job at his first full-time job as he complains he has too much to do.

When you get people like Chavez criticizng ZERO, then you know he is WAY OVER his pay grade which is about GS-1 if that because you have to show up for work.

One thing that gives the character of the man is his Wednesday night cocktail parties in our White House which cost the taxpayers. That is a slap in the face at everyone who pays taxes and now wants a cut-off on charitable contributions — disgusting!

We have a winner. Dick is falling prey to the evil genius theory of the Obama administration. Obama is plenty evil, but he's no genius.

It has finally begun to dawn on the Washington establishment that Obama is barely of normal intelligence, can't formulate a coherent sentence and just isn't capable of understanding our situation or formulating any plan to deal with it. He moves instinctively to the left as mindlessly as a lemming joining the mad migration to the sea.

Obama is President because his stupidity was unmentionable in our racially charged political culture. He should have been laughed off the stage. He wasn't because of Washington's bipartisan saturation in the soft bigotry of low expectations.

Now we are stuck with a dangerous clown in the White House and four years is looking like a very long time.

God bless the USA — we need it.

We need it, but we certainly do NOT deserve it.

In a Democracy we get the government our neighbors deserve. But there are many of us who deserve better and are worthy of God's blessing. I'm not special pleading on my own behalf here, just making a general point.

Even in Sodom and Gomorrah the Almighty found someone worthy of his protection. Among the millions of Americans who didn't vote for Obama there are many decent people and they deserve much better government than they are getting.

But he’s so cool. George Bush went to bed at 8pm ...he was boring. Obama has that big beautiful flashy smile. Bush smirked. C’mon...Happy days are here again. Don’t worry, be happy.

NOT JUST THE WASHINGTON ESTABLISHMENT.
I also think world leaders are seeing what we see, in Europe, Russia, China and Tehran.

I think world leaders, for the most part, had Obama’s number long before the election. His drooling stupidity is far from subtle. Gordon Brown may be a bit taken aback, but then, he's mostly blind. One must make allowances for the handicapped.
