For the record, Laura Ingraham never actually called Meghan McCain fat. However, Ingraham has been dead on hilarious in her imitation of Meghan's mindless sounding Valley Girl accent. A quick listen to Ms McCain's voice on this video clip of her appearance on CNN's Larry King Live last night brought back memories of the years your humble correspondent spent in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, birthplace of the Valley Girl accent which, unfortunately, spread to many parts of the country. That Valspeak accent still painfully reverberates in my ears yet despite my earnest hope that it would die a permanent death, along comes Meghan McCain to resurrect that annoying sound in interview after interview in her quest for eternal publicity for herself.
So how does someone who sounds so annoyingly vacuous rate so much publicity? Simple. When a Republican (or relative of a prominent Republican) slams Republicans and/or conservatives, such a person will be enthusiastically given a national forum by the MSM. Even someone like John McCain's daughter who doesn't really sound all that interested in political issues. As you can see in this interview, Valley Girl McCain seems much more enthusiastic rambling on about how she was supposedly "dissed" by Laura Ingraham and carefully pondering which tattoo to choose for her wrist. First Larry plays a video clip of Barack Obama laughing while discussing the economic crises during his 60 Minutes interview with Steve Kroft then asks Meghan for her "learned" input:

Meghan McCain is a silly, naive young woman. The ONLY reason she’s getting any media time at all is because of her bashing of the Republican Party base.
She was pathetic. She declared herself a “Progressive Republican” so she might as well join the Democrat party. She’s basically a liberal anyway.
She said she disagrees with her father on many social issues and is more liberal in that area.
She came off as a total “valley girl”, high schooler not to be taken seriously.

Mehgan is quickly becoming the barack obama of the Repubican Party: She befreinds and appeases the enemy, while she insults the allies.
Yeah, you know like, most airheads sound like, just like that. So Meghan, what accomplishments have you achieved, what does your resume look like (accent over the e)? I’m sure a “progressive Republican” is just the ticket! Pro-choice, socialist beliefs, yeah, that’s really different and like your Dad, not knowing what side you’re on fits the mold.
If it’s any consolation, please know that the MSM has a great deal of contempt for Meghan McCain and is, of course, only using her. The nanosecond a negative word comes out of her whiny mouth about BHO or Hilary it will be fade to black.

Do you think the old fart intends to run again in 2012? He just has to know he’s to old and too liberal to run again. I guess he could run on the dem ticket; that would actually make more sense.

It’s sad. You can see she’s really excited at the chance to spout off. There’s no substance there at all—no reasons WHY she believes what she believes. She’s clearly thrilled to think of herself as a maverick, but I hate to break it to her. The party leadership has more than enough who think just like her. She’s not radical at all. What’s radical is an elected Republican who stands up for small government!
McCain will not run in 2012.
He’s done, in terms of national politics.
