MSNBC is said to be in talks with Ed Schultz, the progressive radio talk show host, about a permanent position at the cable news channel. The liberal-leaning MSNBC is seeking a 10 p.m. host to replace the time slot's repeat of "Countdown with Keith Olbermann."

Ed Shultz is the left wing answer to Rush except without the common sense, facts or sense of humor. Otherwise he’s exactly the same. ;)

What I find interesting is that the repeat of Olbermann doesn’t seem to be “working out” for them. O’Reilly repeats, now Beck repeats, as do Hannity and Greta...guess Olbermann can’t cut it.

The biggest difference between radio and TV are the phone calls. In talk radio you get confronted by differing points of view, which would immedialtely discredit a liberal talk show host. Conservative points of view are based on logic and common sense. Libs on emotion. Even a fairly well spoken conservative can argue circles around a lib.
Radio = live phones/no credible response
TV = preaching/no response
This is exactly why “Air America” failed and why most columnists are libs and continue getting a paycheck.

For those who don't know, Congress made Armed Forces Radio carry Ed Shultz radio show. It wasn't demand from our military who are the ones who have to listen to it.
I guess MSNBC needs someone with lower ratings than Olberman so he doesn't look so bad.
What's the deal with liberal hosts and MSNBC anyway? Who's going to listen to Obama suck ups which is the only thing they can do during a Democrat adminstration? MSNBC’s leftist hosts picked up their limited audiences by opposing President Bush. Now that they don't have a Republican to kick around anymore, how exactly does MSNBC plan on making money with shows that can only promise falling ratings? Their current lib hosts always show up way behind Fox News and CNN who's ratings are also not the best.

They gave Keith Olbermann an enema and this is what they got.

A “progressive” is an uber-liberal who’s ashamed to admit they’re liberal.

The liberal-leaning MSNBC leaning ? Sorry, but that network toppled long, long ago.

If they do get him, they better tape delay him so they can edit out comments and words that could get them in big trouble. He is notorious for speaking before thinking. Last week on his radio show I caught him saying the “S” word (4-letter word end with T). He realized what he just said afterward and you could sense the nervousness in his voice.

“in talk radio you get confronted by different points of view”
After Mario Cuomo (aka Pope Mario I the Pious) was defeated for reelection, he attempted a talk show which folded in a few months.
Dictator-like, he decreed that any caller who uttered the word “liberal” would be instantly cut off.
The late great Bill Buckley observed that a liberal is someone who is open to other points of view, then is appalled to learn that there ARE other points of view.

I forgot to add that out of radio hosts known all over the leftist world, Shultz is probably the least liked. I go on lib boards often ( I call it a sewer dive ) to try and get intel on what they're up to next. Some of their harebrained schemes are newsworthy but ignored completely by the MSM as it would embarrass the left if the sheeple knew what their real goals are. On those board the only leftist host they call a right winger is Schultz. Not that he is but that shows he's only going to bring a part of the already small niche market audience that their current leftist hosts have.

The lunatic Sportscaster will soon find himself lagging in ratings behind all three of his fellow libs, Matthews, Maddow and now Schultz.
They shoot horses, don't they?
