There have been a number of peace vigils that have dropped out or cut back given the tremendous progress in Iraq and now that Obama is Messiah.
I've seen a few articles on ones that have stopped or cut back. Please advise where, when and how long for the event you report. Who sponsored it and any links or contact info you may have.
Thanks.
I will let you know if they are still doing the wed Bangor protest. They actually had a teach-in this week of organizing in the Obama era.
San Pedro, Calif. corner of 1st and Gaffey.
Protesters had been meeting Friday evenings (usually a dozen or so) with the obligatory “out of Iraq” signs since the war began in 2003.
Although the meetings are still listed on the Pedro calendar of community events, I haven’t seen anyone there since the Øbama inauguration.
Proof that they don’t give a rat’s ass about Iraqis or our own “fallen.” It was all BDS.
It’s also looking like the Westminster, MD vigil is on the wane.

They were never against the war, but against President Bush.

These moonbats considered continuing to “show support” for Obama.

Editors note: Shirley Brown of the South Shore Peace Forum says the South Shore Peace Forum continues to hold vigils every Tuesday at the Post Office. The SSPF is not the same group that, until recently, held peace vigils on Saturdays.
Oklahoma City, NW Expressway and Meridian, 3 or 4 old hippies with anti war signs showed up every saturday for the last 3 years. One had a sign “Republican against the war.” They haven’t showed up since Obummer’s inauguration. I guess dimocrap war is ok.

On January 24, 2009, after more than 6 years, the Peace Vigil in Potsdam took a break and went on "standby". Although American wars have not yet ended, Vigil participants agree that our newly elected president deserves a chance to end our conflicts and try to bring peace to the world. However, if there is not sincere and obvious movement toward peace, the Peace Vigil will return.
Ping.
Are the Vets for Peace still planting crosses on the beach in Santa Barbara, CA?
I have no idea. I’m in Virginia.

Dr Raoul needs some research info.
In Freeport, IL, we had a very active group of appeaseniks called “People for Peace.” After determined counterpicketing and PR warfare by myself and other local patriots, they had a whole two people (both of whom were on the steering committee) show up for their monthly meeting in June of 2004. They have not been heard of since.
hate of GWB was secondary.

BTW Doc, I realize that my account doesn’t fall into what you’re looking for, but I couldn’t resist crowing over the demise of a vicious group of treason junkies. ;-)
