FNC now reporting it was a single engine plane and several children are among the dead

Single engine doesn’t sound right.

Plane cartwheeled and flipped over. I am guessing only a crew of two and from the video it appears very unlikely either of them survived.

from the video it looks like the plane came down without a front landing gear, bounced and rolled left..

looks like pilot error to me. He came in level but the nose hit the ground first.

I speak Japanese:

The windspeed was high, and the rate of descent was excessive, and the plane rotated onto it’s left side, with smoke and flame issuing. The plane is now overturned, burned, and vehicles and fire fighters are gathered around —mostly the fire is now over, a ribbon of smoke winding skyward. The crew consisted of pilot and co-pilot.

Still, I’m wondering about the number of passengers. CNN reported the type of aircraft, but the specs only call for a maximum of 10 seats plus two crew.

There have been quite a few plane crashes the past few months. I wonder if there’s been a spike if we graph it statistically.

My own theory is people are becoming more and more incompetent. My husband and I have discussed how we both are seeing an uptick these past several years in complete incompetence; most of it coming from the 30 and under crowd - sad, but true. Not all, but most.
