The man, a 27-year-old Oakland resident, was later fatally shot in a gun battle with SWAT officers in a nearby apartment complex where he hid.

I believe him to be one of the chief architects of Obama's plans for a state supported 4 year college to educate(read indoctrinate) govt. workers to be loyal to the state and our self proclaimed glorious leader.
Folks, unless somebody throws the engineer overboard, this country is on a fast track to totalitarianism--state training schools; security force armed like military; discriminating against Christians; shutting up talk-radio; banning guns; aborting babies anytime, any place, any how; nationalized health care that can and will select who gets what services, if any; taking expectations and promised rewards away from our military to discourage them (pay for their own wounds in line of duty); representation for DC so another Dem constituency is born; another, larger voluntary, but mandatory (now there's a oxymoron) work force; taking away secret ballot for union membership(called card check); rolling 401k's and IRA's into Social Security; carbon cap and trade; UN tax on oil per barrel; joining Global govt. recognizing Hamas; forcing Israel into compromising with Palestinians--and I have probably forgotten a few initiatives. Taxes are being considered as we post for everything that moves or stays still.

Be prepared for his storm troopers to try to hijack the term and concept “Patriotism,” which will include support for the actions you listed as well as denunciation of individualism, self-reliance, and preparing for the worst-case-scenario.
This guy took down two swat members in full tac gear, in addition to two vested motorcycle cops on the street, and at least one other cop in pursuit.
Either this guy was really lucky or something went really wrong with our police gear and procedures.

His “name” was LaVelle Mixon.
Statistically speaking, he was Mexican-carrying his stolen “gat” chambered in .25 ACP. This wasn’t someone with training; his practice almost certainly consisted of yelling “break yo sef!” while shooting at the neighboring public housing slum.
The sad part is, the attacker always has the upper hand. You don’t have to be smart, experienced, or even very fast to pump a few rounds into the two officers pulling you over if you’re a few feet away and draw before they do.
Probably one of those White Supremacist, Christian Identity, Militia Members they've been warning us about.
Probably had NRA decals in his rear window and a Ron Paul bumper sticker.
He probably had his radio tuned to Beck or Rush, when they stopped him, too.
In Northern California a man with a Ron Paul Bumper sticker, and his entire family would have been killed long before he could get a shot off.
