ScienceDaily (Mar. 20, 2009) — Marijuana, a commonly abused drug among high school and college students, is linked to a severe form of vomiting syndrome and compulsive bathing behavior. This form of severe vomiting sickness is increasingly recognized with widespread abuse of marijuana. The syndrome usually subsides with strict abstinence from marijuana abuse.

This obscure clinical manifestation of severe vomiting sickness due to chronic abuse of marijuana was recognized by Dr. Sontineni and his colleagues at the Creighton University of Omaha, NE.

I’ve known a few people who coughed so hard that they would throw up.

” Marijuana, ... is linked to .... compulsive bathing behavior.”

Hippies were well known for compulsive bathing — people used to point and say “clean hippies!”. They were known for smelling like bath salts. /alt universe

This is a good thing. After doing a doobie and eating everything in site, vomiting is good. Otherwise, every doobid doer would be fat and easily identified.

Not only that, the US Government’s chief scientist on the subject, back when they made MJ illegal in the first place, testified under oath in court that smoking one puff of MJ made him “turn into a bat and fly around the room”.

Compared to turning into a bat, I’d say vomiting is mild.

Marijuana has also been substantially liked to “Kansas syndrome”, in which people are seemingly healthy for many decades before suddenly dying with little or no warning.

More acute cases have been determined to exist where symptoms show themselves only immediately before death, mimicking other diseases such as acute aircraft deceleration syndrome, in which evidence is concealed by the burning wreckage, and high speed lead pellet toxic shock, most often observed during SWAT raids on private residences in the early hours of the morning.

All clearly attributable to marijuana inhalation.
