Using him as "evidence" the 14th district is not conservative is like saying Orange county must not be conservative because Loretta Sanchez won in a fluke over Bob Dorgan.

What fluke? Dornan's district was overrun by illegal aliens and the demographics went left. Now Foster's district is left wing too, as evidenced by the liberal tool they elected.

Sacramento, and San Francisco were "the face of conservatism"??

No, but Los Angeles and southern California generally were in the decades leading up to Ronald Reagan becoming the governor of California.

Mojave, Mojave, Mojave... I just went through the zip codes of every place Reagan spent a significate time in his life, and it just confirms what I already said. The towns in Illinois that he lived in are staunch Reagan Republicans, the towns in California that he lived in are elitist limosine liberals that want nothing to do with Reaganism. So ironically, the places where Reagan was a registered Democrat are now solidly conservative, and the places where Reagan was a registered Republican are now solidly socialist liberal.

I looked up how Reagan's hometown of Dixon had voted in the Congressional race, and it confirmed what I suspected. They voted AGAINST Bill Foster (the lone Democrat to win that district in many decades), as did 2/3rds of the district, so your crow is served. Your are correct that the demographics of the district are changing, and the big city in the district, Aurora, is largely hispanic now and voted Dem. However, the area that REAGAN himself lived in(Lee County) from is still strongly Republican. I didn't check to see if Reagan's neighborhood in California voted against their marxist Congressman (Waxman) but given the left-wing loons they elected to the assembly, I think it's safe to guess they strongly supported Waxman.

Yes, there are millions of Reagan Republicans in California, and yes there a strong section of conservative Republicans in southern California, but not in the neighborhoods Reagan LIVED in! The bottom line is that Dixon, Illinois loudly and proudly proclaims itself "Hometown of Ronald Reagan", but the liberals in Bel Air and Pacific Palisades would probably shudder at the mere mention of the name of their former neighbor. You see any of those places advertising the fact Reagan lived there? Nope.

Reaganism is alive and well in places in Illinois that he called home, and if you visited here, you'd see that. You won't learn about Reaganism from the Hollyweird crowd. Arnie is proof of that.

So, given those facts -- what places are doing a better job keeping the spirit of Reaganism alive?
The towns he grew up in, OR his adopted towns where he spent his adulthood?
