Mitt Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, ran for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008, but John McCain snagged the nomination. This businessman and politician is keeping a critical eye on how things are shaping up in the presidency he wanted, and he shared his views on Thursday night's "Larry King Live." He gave a sharp critique of President Obama's performance and shared his thoughts on Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin and stem-cell research. The following transcript is edited for brevity and clarity:

Saying that O is “learning on the fly” is a polite way of saying it.
The only choices I can see are “learning on the fly” [as in ignorant] or purely [Saul Alinsky trained], [Soros planned] evil.

learning on the fly?......
Leaning on the Constitution!
To: GOP_Lady
everybody is mad at AIG and their executives for doing what they did. But to suggest that this is not the fault of the people in Congress who passed the specific measure allowing them to take these bonuses is a diversionary tactic and wrong. I agree.
You don't have a government take punitive action against a small group of people. Frankly, it's unconstitutional, in my view.
I agree.

Why does Mitt make the completely unsupported assumption that he is learning?
To: GOP_Lady
Compare Romney to that classless twit in the WH, no comparison.

This is not the time for a president who is on the job training. Obozo and the democratically controlled Congress are a disaster, far worse than when it was under republican control! I actually long for those days again!
To: GOP_Lady
What evidence do we have that he’s learning? Smirky’s too busy running around seeking adulation. All of Clinton’s needy narcissism without the charm.

Many people in the Conservative Movement and the Republican Party didn't like Romney. They worked against him even thought he was our most viable candidate. They wanted the PERFECT conservative.
Well in this world we rarely get the PERFECT anything. Romney would have been a good candidate, surely better than McCain. If there had not been so many candidates early on then Romney just might have won.
We will never know for sure but I believe Romney could have beaten Obama. Certainly the age factor would have worked to the advantage of Romney and not against him. Yes the DemocRATs would have tried to smear him with the Mormon thing, but I don't think it would have worked.
Don't get me wrong, Romney isn't my perfect candidate, BUT he was the candidate who had the best chance of winning out of the choices we had.
Those of you who opposed Romney bear a lot of the responsibility for the situation we are now in with Obama.
