In his book "Capitalism and Freedom" (1962) Milton Friedman (1912-2006) advocated minimizing the role of government in a free market as a means of creating political and social freedom.

An excerpt from an interview with Phil Donahue in 1979.

THIS IS A MUST SEE!!

1. Excellent smackdown of Donahue (not that hard with an intelectually unarmed liberal)

2. BINGO! on political appointees towards the second half. He just nails why Obama appointed Hillary, and the rest of the beltway insiders.

3. DOUBLE BINGO! on capitalism creates prosperity and why Obama's plans are 100% guaranteed to fail. Obama is 100% clueless and history is going to spank him.

4. Notes it is the INDIVIDUAL who makes prosperity the government does nothing to create prosperity.

Obama’s policies will fail and the excuse will be:

“Bush did so much damage during his terms that even my wonderful plans couldn’t save the country”

...and the liberal populace will buy it hook, line, and sinker.

Obama used this exact meme during his jay leno celebritard appearance. (Congress is no longer taking his calls)

Then again he gets to zoom around in airforce one like a “god” from olympus coming down upon the mortals.

My favorite quote from Friedman.

“If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in 5 years there’d be a shortage of sand.”

The government is in charge of garbage and we now have a garbage shortage. (recycling now costs more than it achieves, some cities even toss it into the landfills because there is no market for it but they still CHARGE for it.)

Miton Friedman and the FOUR WAYS TO SPEND MONEY ANT THE CONSEQUENCES!

1. You spend your own money on yourself.
2. You spend your own money on someone else.
3. You spend someone else’s money on yourself.
4. You spend someone else’s money on someone else.

These common sense observations are LOST IN DC.

He told Donahue the absolute truth yet Donahue refused to see it or believe it. He should have asked Donahue if he (Donahue) gave all the money in excess of what he absolutely needed to survive to the poor.

Friedman also correctly smacked him down on the notion of “virtue” being a motivator. Virtue and pissing your pants both give you a warm feeling, but neither puts food on the table.

Donahue is epic fail.

Remember his MSNBC show which, LITERALLY, had lower ratings than a test pattern.

Knowledge is the enemy of Obama. As conservatives we have to educate the public about their liberties. Freedom is not a theory in a vacume.
