If we had the equivalent, it would be named the Grassley Forest.

Well, that’s gonna at least enrich the soil, unless they had a bad diet full of toxins.

"My will to live disappeared," said Taro. "I'd lost my identity, so I didn't want to live on this earth. That's why I went there."

Taro, who did not want to be identified fully,

He feels he has lost his identity, but does not want to be identified fully. Strange.

Well I'll be darned.

Senator Grassley was RIGHT.

BTW, these days, not a few Japanese have asked me privately why titans of US business and finance, and members of Congress, who have run businesses and the US economy into the ground, have yet to have "taken responsibility" (sekinin wo tooru), and done "the honorable thing" (jinin ka jiketsu)...they are almost shocked that nobody has owned up to such a horrendous thing and done something, but instead are still in positions of power and authority, continuing to make devastating policy! These latest fiascoes, and going into TARPs 4, and 5, and 5, and 7 and....etc. etc. etc. make their heads spin.

Arrogance, Pride, (our culture no longer recognizes objective moral truth; everything is subjection and their consciences have been “seared”).
