As HR1388,GIVE Act is on its way to the Senate as many of you know. It will be called S.277, the Kennedy/Hatch Serve America Act.
It is on its way to the Senate. Tonight Obama did a TELEVISION commercial about “STEPPING UP” to serve. It sounded like HE WAS RECITING A 30-SECOND POEM and at the end of the commercial he advertised this website. Check it out.
I was at my computer listening to Greta on FoxNews in the background as I worked on my computer so I didn’t see it but I heard it. Did anyone see it?
So here he is with a NEW website before the Bill called S.277 (formerly HR1388) hits the Senate Floor. He is very eager.
Someone please call Congress and let them know they don’t need to show up next week to vote on S. 277. Obama has it covered. He is all set./sarc I guess Obama knows it is a “done deal” since he already has a website ready to roll.
I find Obama's behavior quite contrasting with his eagerness to create and implement his SERVICE AGENDA by ushering in a huge layer of government all the while languishing and dragging his feet over there in Treasury with still NO PLAN and over 16 people in the treasury left to hire.

i’m getting the sense he’s going from project to project in his agenda, if it doesn’t work now, e.g. shelving that mess he wants to create for American Vets insurance he’s going to hop on another train and here’s his new one, this mandatory service thing. Our economic issues have yet to be resolved and it’s on-going- paraphrase D. Axelrod about “people aren’t really concerned with AIG , etc. etc....
What flumoxxes me is this:If this is MANDATORY Volunteerism there’s a catch in this because there’s the carrot/stick mentality here. People don’t do things for free (this stuff anyway) unless they are altruistic and truly motivated. Key WORD: ALTRUISM This is Othugo’s mistake.
I think it’s masochistic for individuals with intelligence to ponder their future if they DON”T “volunteer” . Is it titillating to think that if you are out of college , grown, kids in the house that someone would come to knock on your door to tell you that you HAVE to volunteer? Requiring all regardless of age to mandatory volunteerism is quite a feat. I know many people, as all of you do, that are aged, infirm or physically or mentally disabled. What is going to happen to them? Are they going to get locked up or something because of their situation? Othugo can’t make these people do something they can’t or even won’t, just my humble opinion,that’s all.

First Lady Serves
First Lady of the United State, Michelle Obama, found time to serve local D.C. residents yesterday by visiting Miriam’s Kitchen, a soup kitchen only several blocks from the White House

I think I read earlier that September 11th is targeted for the next group volunteer day.

On the website for the organization, it has the same required fields that Obama’s loyalty oath contains. I would say that it is a heck of a coincidence, but I do not believe in coincidence at this high a level and never from a leftist. By “signing up” does one automatically take this loyalty oath? Were not the leftists all in a tizzy about supposed loyalty oaths under Bush?
The “about us” section still calls Obama “president-elect”. Odd. It is almost the end of March. More proof that he is still campaigning or just an oversight from a drug-addled crony?
In the FAQ section, it reads like the mandatory volunteerism act. Quite a plan the left appears to have had for a while. I wonder how long?
I did not even got to the blog. It is lunch time here and our Internet is slow. However, I do not doubt the blog is as creepy and shows shades of 1930s Germany as the rest of the site does.
If there is a single person that can’t see that he is a full blooded Communist and that our country is being taken over, then they are in denial or have blinders on.
Not to sound melodramatic, but I wonder if America will be salvageable by 2012. I’m looking more and more into Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand as places to move to once I get out of college. I love America but I don’t like what it’s becoming. I don’t want to live in a socialist country.
