You know what? I have no problem with this. I just bought some heirloom tomato seeds and am going to try growing them in some boxes. Good for her.

Eh, I’d like to give credit, but I am not falling for it. Maybe you better look at the other WH garden thread—she did not use pitch forks or rototiller (which is what is needed to really ready a garden plot) and she scheduled this when HER kids were at school yet was fine having a bunch of DC kids come out and participate. Given DC test scores, maybe they should stay in school and work on 3Rs. Of course it is in view for all to see—even tho her state dinners include $100/lb imported Wagyu beef and seafood. She did not garden in Chicago...even tho there was a side yard for a garden. It is nothing more than a photo=opp IMHO.

That said, good luck with your garden—I am starting my seedlings inside this week. BTW, where did you get your heirloom seeds?
