Even as President Obama compares bankers to suicide bombers, his Homeland Security Secretary is suggesting the T-word, terrorism, is too inflammatory and representative of old-fashioned "politics of fear." She's announced a new term: "man-caused disaster." If we pretended that Obama qualified as a man, rather than an overgrown child, we would have to count the Obama administration as the most destructive "man-caused disaster" in human history.
Those who consider "terrorism" too inflammatory a word should encourage their terrorist friends to stop committing mass murder. If that doesn't work, they should use the military to hunt down and kill every terrorist in the world, without regard to which group of innocent civilians that particular collection of terrorists wants to kill. But that's the conservative approach to problems - solve them. The liberal approach is to change your words to avoid hurting the feelings of mass murderers and their supporters, and I've never seen much success from that tactic.
