Jim Robinson has confirmed that the Secret Service has asked for information about people here, ever year since the inception of Free Republic and also has asked for information regarding Obama (on these boards), too — about the posters here.

So, the information *has gone out* to the Secret Service already... It’s already being done here on Free Republic. I hope y’all know this... :-)

We need to choose our words very carefully now... NO doubt Obama and his minions will use EVERYTHING that can even be remotely construed as a threat as an excuse to make Secret Service check us out... I have a very bad feeling that this will become routine for many Conservatives. While in total agreement with JR's warning against threats to Obambi & company, I must differ with the notion of mincing words and ideas that come nowhere CLOSE to "threatening," for fear of an investigation.

I say it should go the other way. They're gonna cry wolf no matter what we do. *shrug*
