Sarah Palin is seeking the advice of a Scientologist as she plots her 2012 presidential run, which just makes sense to us.
John P. Coale, a prominent Washington lawyer and power-broker, is secretly running Palin's political action committee and working to "protect the Palin brand," according to the Washington Post. He is very, very good at doing that because he can walk through walls and read minds and leave his body and never gets sick because he is a Scientologist.

Strange stuff, for sure.
I watched Part 5 of the KESQ interview and was struck by how fast he used to the “hate” word to avoid answering questions.
It reminded me of liberals .... and some RINO freepers, LOL.
Talk to me when you have been here as long as I and several of us have been. We are not slipping anywhere. If anything we are one of the few places on the web where the real Conservative message can be found.
“Talk to me when you have been here as long as I and several of us have been. We are not slipping anywhere. If anything we are one of the few places on the web where the real Conservative message can be found.”
Well, I’ve been kicking around FR for maybe five years now. I hear what you’re saying about the quality of the place.
Beginning to think that Bill Clinton's Presidency was not so bad after all.
I am not really making any proposals at this time. There is plenty of time and as we both know if we do not make significant gains in 2010, 2012 may not even be an issue for Conservatives.
I am working right now, mainly in trying to get a few "blue dogs" dispatched. They vote with the Rats 90% of the time so it is time for them to go. Let me be clear, if it is Obama against any of the three I said I hoped would stay home; I am voting for them against Obama without a moment of hesitation. That said, I am keeping my powder dry and hoping, for now at least that those three don't seek the nomination. I am thinking they are going to cause stark divisions and that is precisely what we do not need right now. Identity politics will sink us for sure.
Since you asked though, I kinda like this guy, he is as Conservative as any of the three (far more than some), he is articulate and speaks well, a lawyer and a CPA, would be able to raise tons of cash (which McCain screwed himself out of) and he has this Clark Kent thing going on that I think voters will like (LOL): http://www.ontheissues.org/VA/Eric_Cantor.htm
WOW, Windflier...you know that is what Scientologists say about Xenu. Are you a Scientologist? They are told that just about everything on the internet is a lie and not to believe what they see on the internet.
It is not a piece of fiction thrown up on the internet by just someone. It is a piece of fiction written by Hubbard that Scientology uses as their Scripture. It is what you learn about when you have paid enough money to reach the OT III level. Those below OT III may really believe it has nothing to do with their religion but once they have paid enough money they find out differently. You understand why Hubbard kept it hidden until you get to OT III, right? It is not because you would die of pneumonia if you read it. That is just the scare tactic he used to keep people from reading it.
It is because people would blow due to the ridiculousness of it and he wouldn’t be able to make as much money.
If you are a Scientologist...I would encourage you to listen to this reading of Larry Brennan’s affadavit .
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZvqeGrbILw
I encourage everyone to pay special attention to what he says after the 9 minute mark.
RummyChick, I’ve been a Scientologist for 35 years. It’s not what you’ve been told it is. Believe the liars and detractors if you like, or pick up a Scientology book and find out for yourself.
Okay, I knew you had to be a Scientologist by your responses. You obviously are not in the Sea Org.
So just one question. Have you reached OT III, yet?
If you haven’t then you can’t tell me that XENU isn’t part of the story.
If you have, then you KNOW it is part of the story.
In the KESQ interview, Nathan Baca asked Tommy Davis the question. Tommy Davis started to give his canned answer that he always gives..such as in the CNN interview. Nathan Baca pulled out the Scriptures and started to read from them. Tommy Davis told him to stop.
Helena Kobrin authenticated the document that is in Hubbard’s own handwriting. Hubbard is also on tape talking about XENU...as well as saying the Christian God is locked in a trunk with a leopard skin.
I don’t care if you want to believe in XENU..or if you are ashamed to admit you believe in XENU..or if you haven’t paid the money yet to learn about XENU.
My problem with Scientology is the abuses. And they do happen, Windflier.
I also have a problem with the IRS giving Scientologists a tax deduction that no one else can get in violation of The Establishment clause. It is now being appealed to the Supreme Court.
Do you take the tax deduction for your religious studies?
As a Conservative Republican, you should have a problem with the Violation of the US Constitution.
RC, why not let me just practice the religion of my choice in peace?
There just is no point in us having a discussion about my religion if you have never studied it.
I have studied it. Quite a bit since Jett Travolta’s death.
Since you don’t want to answer the XENU question...I will just ask you these rhetorical questions. Ponder them at your leisure.
Why do you get to deduct the costs of your religious studies and no other religion gets to do so in the same way?
Does that not raise a red flag? What happened during Operation Snow White? Did Scientology blackmail the IRS?
Not only do you get tax deductions for auditing as you hold the cans and are attached to the emeter...but for taking classes like “Success Through Communication” and “The Anatomy of the Human Mind.”
It’s not right. It violates the US Constitution. It should raise a hell of a lot of flags with Conservative Republicans..even if you are a Scientologist. Who the hell has ever been able to blackmail the IRS? Yet....after Operation Snow White..a magical secret agreement ..contents of which neither Scientology or the IRS will divulge despite it being leaked to the Wall Street Journal.
Judge Barry D. Silverman asked Why is Scientology training different from all other religious training? . . . members of the Church of Scientology have become the I.R.S.s chosen people.
Judge Kim Wardlaw noted The view of the IRS is it can unconstitutionally violate the Constitution by establishing religion, by treating one religion more favorably than other religions in terms of what is allowed as deductions, and there can never be any judicial review of that?We could be seeing an important decision under the Establishment Clause. It would be highly ironic that Scientology would be viewed as the governments Chosen People after being viewed as a criminal cult for so many years. It is equally ironic given the founder L. Ron Hubbard long-standing tax and fraud controversies.
No.
Sometimes you can be a patriot without being a partisan at all. And the all caps weren't intended as anything personal.
You again. How's the old Guy Fawkes gang, anyway?
I have a question for you. What catechism is not tax deductable in this country?
Haven’t worn one.
IRS Revenue Ruling 78-189.
“A `fixed donation’ paid to the Church of Scientology for general education
courses, religious education courses, and `auditing’ and processing courses that
does not exceed the fair market value of these courses is not a charitable
contribution within the meaning of section 170 of the code.”
Upheld by the Supreme Court.
Operation Snow White - largest infiltration into the US Government.
1993 “Revenue Ruling 78-189, 1978-1 C.B. 68, is obsoleted.”

“The IRS has publicly called them a church and described training and auditing as deductible,” said Zuckerman, an antitrust and labor lawyer with the Washington, D.C., office of New York’s Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle. “That recognition should be extended to all religions, and it is discrimination not to.”
Brody, who serves on the American Bar Association Tax Committee, said the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has already ruled on the disparate treatment argument. “They said it doesn’t matter how the Scientologists are treated, and, anyway, the Scientologists shouldn’t have gotten what they did,” Brody said. “That’s why we’re all watching the case — we’ve been expecting it.” He added, “When the IRS settled with the Scientologists, after they’d beaten them, we knew deductions for tuition would come into question.”
Where I come from, that's a good thing.
Are you a Scientologist?
Here is the Scientology IRS rule that was obsoleted after Operation Snow White.

I hope SCOTUS takes up the case.
Judge Silverman
‘’The remedy,’’ he wrote, ‘’is not to require the I.R.S. to let others claim the improper deduction.’’
I think your efforts to denigrate people with innuendoes and suspicion is detestable.
When a liberal sees the light on a few issues and chooses to support the correct cause, I applaud them as I did Ron Silver. But in the case of Bhopal Coale, he endorsed McCain because of "sexism" against Hillary. Hardly the kind of ideological transformation we need.
