COSTA MESA, Calif. -- President Barack Obama said he will take the blame for bonuses being paid at American International Group Inc. if it will settle an intense finger pointing under way over how such payments were possible at a company that has received tremendous taxpayer aid.
"Washington is all in a tizzy and everybody is pointing fingers at each other and saying it's their fault, the Democrats' fault, the Republicans' fault," he said at a town hall meeting Wednesday. "Listen, I'll take responsibility. I'm the President."
He added: "So for everybody in Washington who's busy scrambling, trying to figure out how to blame somebody else, just go ahead and talk to me, because it's my job to make sure that we fix these messes, even if I don't make them."

But it needs to be followed up with the admission that he manufactured his outrage — and risked the lives of AIG employees according to Liddy — for purely political reasons.
Not the least of those political reasons is to camouflage the fact that the Federal Reserve today announced that it was going to further erode our dollar and escalate China's worries about the value of their investments in our debt by purchasing massive amounts of T-bills.
We need to be aware of this, folks. It's a sign of desperation on behalf of the people ruining our economy.
I am sick and bloody tired of this individual passing his problems off on other people. "Even if I don't make them" ... Zero, the evidence is growing that you sure as hell made this one. Quit trying to make it look as though you are shouldering responsibility when, as usual, you are trying to lay the blame at the feet of others.

Translation, it was my party and my administration that is shamefully to blame. I want the inquiry to stop because every new revelation is hurting my ability to impose a socialist utopia. So let’s try taking the blame in a summary fashion.
Sad thing, it’ll probably work and the media will forget about the story completely.
