Bush: Obama Is Doing Just Fine
You probably wouldnt expect former President George W. Bush, in his first speech since leaving office, to praise his successor.
But thats exactly what he did Tuesday.
In a folksy address to 1,400 people in Canada, he expressed confidence in President Obamas ability to mend the economy and financial system, Jason Enns, a financial advisor who attended the speech, told Bloomberg. Media werent allowed at the event.
He told us: Wall Street had a big party and now were dealing with their hangover, Enns says.
Enns said Bush told the audience that he expects Obama will do a fantastic job and that he will provide help and advice if Obama asks for it.
Bush told the crowd in Calgary, which is the base for much of Canadas oil and natural gas industry, that the U.S. will need the crude extracted from northern Albertas oil sands, the largest reserves outside the Middle East, Enns said.

What a tool.
I’m talking about both Presidents.
Well, I’m sure he wouldn’t have voted for a liberal radical like Jim Webb, unlike yourself.
Maybe he’s trying to get hired by the Dixie Chicks.....
Bush takes the loyalty of conservatives and rubs our noses in it.
There’s such a fine line between courtesy and outright stupidity.
No, actually, I guess there isn’t.
He’s just going along with the Bilderbergs, just like his old man did, too.
Papa Bush also got along famously with the Chinese Communists when he was ambassador to China. There is such a thing as being too nice....
Came for the third-party whining. Left satisfied.
I thought President Bush understood how to speak Southern.
Shouldn’t he have said: “Obama’s doing fine; bless his heart”
Ladies and Gentlemen, we have no party.
Ooooh, did I hurt your little hero again...tsk, tsk. Be a man, sentinal, not a backer of spineless jellyfish! Do something for your country like most "real conservatives." Get off your computer and see a recruiter.
These threads crack me up. We know the Dems effectively made the last election a referendum on the President, after failing four years earlier. Now the question is, how many votes will swing in 2012 by making that election a referendum on Bush also?
This is hysterical on so many different levels, I hardly even know where to begin.
His legacy will show what Americans thought of him and his lack of character.
This is all third hand information, no direct quotes from President Bush. Believe what you will if you can believe the media. This article is crap.
Hey George, shut the Hell up and go away. Both of you are AWFUL.
Oh good lawd... Here comes the chorus of old washroom bitties cackling about Bush making a classy statement...
