Police in Missouri apparently are being instructed to keep on eye on conservatives.
According to this AP article the government of the state of Missouri has issued a report "informing" state police that people with third party bumper stickers on their cars or who believe the NAFTA superhighway is an attempt create a North American Union are subversive members of paramilitary militias and potential terrorists.

I recall an FBI pamphlet during the Clinton dark ages describing terrorists as people who read the US Constitution, who believe in the 2nd Amendment, who listen to Conservative Talk Radio.

this will never work in Missouri.............the Highway patrol is all on Ron Paul’s side anyway. This would only work in the KC and St. Louis doughnuts. The outstate is completely different.

A familliar name for those who were tuned in during the Clinton Years, among many:

John Magaw most recently served as undersecretary for security at the Department of Transportation. He was responsible for implementation of the Aviation and Transportation Security Act of 2001, which augmented transportation security nationwide in air, land, water and rail modes.
Magaw served as acting director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in early 2001, and as acting deputy director following the appointment of Joe Allbaugh as director, through September, 2001. He then led the Office of National Preparedness within FEMA, until December, 2001.
Magaw was Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, where he coordinated and directed policy and organizational changes that allowed the bureau to be more diversified and efficient, as they recovered from the Waco, Texas, tragedy.
His extensive background in law enforcement began in 1959, as a trooper with the Ohio State Patrol. He then became a special agent with the U.S. Secret Service in 1967 and later served as deputy special agent in charge of the Vice Presidential Protective Division and then head of the Washington Field Office. Magaw was in charge of all protective operations for the President and First family before being appointed Director of the Secret Service...

Yeah, I've had that experience too. There are Freepers whom I would not at all be surprised to see behind the riot gear and billy clubs.
It's frustrating, because these people simply aren't aware that they could be the next "fringe group." Posting here probably puts all of us on some enemies list or other.

This policy effectively classifies Americans as terrorists under the Patriot act, which, coincidentally, Clinton attempted to pass, but passed easily after 9/11. Meanwhile, towelheads are given a free pass at the airport; foot washing sinks at state universities and their religion is being endorsed in classrooms.
