The San Francisco Police Officers Association's leadership has been told to muzzle it after signing a letter accusing onetime Weather Underground radical Bill Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, of being behind the nearly 40-year-old bombing at a San Francisco police station that killed a sergeant.
We hear that both U.S. Justice Department reps and Police Chief Heather Fong put in calls to the union to find out just what they were doing talking out of school about an active investigation that may be ready to make a move soon in the 1970 bombing at Park Station.
The word was, button your lips.
Police Officers Association President Gary Delagnes confirmed that his union got a call from federal investigators telling them they had an "active investigation and should not be commenting on the case."
Delagnes said the letter was meant only to show support for the family of the slain officer, Sgt. Brian McDonnell, and to help them "bring closure to the case."
No one has ever been charged in the bombing, and Ayers said last week he had nothing to do with it.

The Feds haven’t investigated anything having to do with this case in YEARS.
And the chances of them doing so NOW, with The Obumbler’s personal friends as the prime suspects, are very likely “Slim to None”, and Slim is riding off slowly into the sunset.
Hey, it’s only been 39 years. Give the police a chance. ;o)
The only thing active about it is how actively they’re trying to cover it up.

I’ll bet the only active investigation is focussing primarily on those who would try and shed light on Ayers possible involvement.
Active investigation my ass. I don't believe that for a second. Nothing the police officers said could compromise this supposed ongoing 39 year investigation. The simple truth is that the Obama Justice Department and the SF politicians are on the side of terrorists(like Ayers and Dohrn) who kill police officers and out to screw those who risk their lives protecting us. Free speech in America is dying.
Actually they are probably trying to pin it on some Republican. Don’t be surprised if they suddenly “find” evidence that President Bush, or Vice President Cheney, or Rush Limbaugh were involved...
“Active case” followed immediately by a full Presidential Pardon.
The investigation is not “active”, it is simply not “closed” because it was never solved,
and the call from the justice (yes, small j) department???

I’m going to take the side of goodness and believe that law enforcement is still actively investigating this case. I wish them success in getting to the bottom of this American tragedy and those responsible for causing so much fear and terror in the hearts of decent Americans back in the day. May those who did this come to understand REAL social justice.
I fear America has reached the point - with our politically controlled and jaded “justice” system - the we may soon have to resort to a citizen’s “Star Chamber” to secure Justice...
This will bury it newswise. It will look like something is being done, it’s an active case, we are right on it...then nothing will be seen or heard.
Imagine the circus of Ayers on the stand!
Perhaps they should call in the JonBenet Ramsey murder investigators team to expedite matters...
