Glenn Beck, Fox News' deranged media personality, has been telling a national television audience that the Obama administration might be setting up secret "concentration camps" to lock up conservatives. The president, Beck believes, may be using FEMA in this conspiratorial drive towards "a totalitarian state."
Beck, who has already voiced his affinity for the John Birch Society, is also distributing Birchers' literature to his audiences.
If he were just some random right-wing blogger, it would be easier to laugh this off.
The leap is a fantastic book. Read it. I’d put it before Atlas Shrugged.
Pssssst! The secret is,... get elected in Massachusetts.
Most of the population there are so dumb they can't tell the difference between a turd and a Snickers bar. And the worst part about that is, they don't care as long as it has free peanuts in it.
lol, that's what I'm reading now...
Just grin and bear galts speech. It’s many many pages, but don’t give up on the book.
I'm sorry but there is no way Glenn Beck is going to become the next Ann Coulter.
In the first place, their rhetorical styles, personalities and backgrounds are completely different. Ann was a Delta Gamma sorority girl at Cornell, has a law degree and would fit right in with the Urban Leftist Elites - if only she didn't detest them and draw great glee from exposing their hypocrisy. Glenn is a self educated guy who never graduated from college, married, divorced, remarried and is an active supporter of AA - the kind of guy the Leftist Elites like to believe we could never be so open minded as to accept. And maybe we wouldn't if he didn't have twice the brains and ten times the integrity of the Leftist Elites.
In the second place, Ann just looks a great deal better.
Is this true about the camps?
Glenn Beck had me laughing so hard years ago, when on his radio program a "fake" Michael Jackson used to call in periodically to proclaim his innocence....and once it was so funny that Glenn broke down laughing and I did too...so much so that I had to pull off the road, I was laughing so hard I was crying. Glenn is yet another Godsend in the drive to keep America's core alive.
The camps rumor is true...what is unclear is just what they are intended for.
You can read the proposed bill on the Library of Congress site:
http://www.thomas.loc.gov/
In the search box, check the “bill number” button and enter “H.R. 645” in the search box. You can read all about it.
The bill was entered in January by Fla. dem Alcee Hastings, and so far has only one co-sponsor.
Good thing you didn't watch last night's O'Reilly. Miller, who I used to like and respect, made little sneering remarks about Beck. O'Reilly kind of smirked along.
Now, it's true, Beck's emotionalism takes some getting used to. I'm used to it...
Then, get this, Miller starts praising Jon Stewart with a kind of a drooling schoolgirl awe--"He's quintessenitally cool." O'Reilly nodded and made little slurpy agreeing noises. They both were guys with the Jon Stewart leg tingle. DisGUSTING.
Glenn packs heat.
I think there are people at FOX who really didn’t quite realize what they were getting with Glenn Beck. They stuck him in the 5pm time slot and thought no one would watch. Now his ratings are going through the roof in a time period where most people are not even home yet from work!
They should kick Shepard Smith out and put Glenn in at the 7pm time slot. He was in that time slot over at Headline News, a station fewer people watched compared to regular CNN. I think the 7pm time slot would be perfect for Glenn.
He’s on at 2:00 pm here in California (and Arizona during Daylight Savings Time). I don’t know who’s watching TV at that time!
Truly frightening!
Well, it WAS done to the Japanese.
Agree! Shep is my least favorite of all of them. Send him to 5pm and Beck to 7.
Are they replacing Rush with Beck?
Rush cut em to the bone, they had to change the subject. When the truth got out about the Daily Phone Meeting with turtlehead, they are like Dracula, run from the light. Noting Rush has not let up on the HNIC one iota. Love the “tele-prompter tells him what to say” and today’s playing up the inventor of the tele-prompter!!!!
John Adams didn’t want to be a leader either.
DVR’d every day in my household, too.
