Congressman John P. Murtha, Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense, was presented this week with the Department of the Navy’s Distinguished Public Service Award. The award, granted by the Secretary of the Navy, is the highest form of public service recognition bestowed by the Department of the Navy for a non-employee.

Murtha and SECNAV Winter were undoubtedly ahole buddies from Winter’s time in the defense industry. Winter just gave him an award for the (tens or hundreds) of millions Fat Jack threw his direction over the years.

I have friends and relatives who were and are Marines, and I am disgusted at the disrespect shown to all Marines by the SECNAV. The Marines work for the Secretary of the Navy, as part of the Department of the Navy, and yet the Navy is presenting this award to one of the few public figures who hates America and our military as much as Obama does? To quote Murtha:
