A fairly impressive internet industry has sprung up claiming that Obama was born in either Kenya or Indonesia. This is nonsense which distracts from the broadly unexplored story of Obama’s upbringing. This kind of nonsense has emerged because the McCain campaign chose not to raise the many questions about Barack Obama’s numerous hard-left alliances. Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, August 4, 1961 at Kapiolani Medical Center in Honolulu.

Nowhere in the Hawaiian statutes does it indicate that Hawaii will change the original place of birth to Hawaii on a birth certificate.

I believe my original point was that a newspaper birth announcement is slim to no proof that he was born in Hawaii, or born by that name. The small fact that no one in the family is confirmed to have lived at the address shown in the birth announcement ... is odd?

We have a Hawaii birth certificate that names the hospital, date and time of birth, and name and signature of attending physician.

If you are so darn cocksure that BHO was born in Kapiolani Medical Center, then why hasn’t the hospital ever even acknowledged that fact? I don’t think it would harm them from a PR standpoint.
What is posted in this little world is not so important. We all know the score there.

The announcements came directly from the Department of Health birth registrations directly to the newspapers. Therefore, a birth registration exists with those names at that address. As far as the address goes, you've never heard of a mother -- particularly one that may not be married -- giving a bogus address to a hospital? One of my family members by marriage was born in LA, and her parents weren't married. Not only is the address bogus, but so is the mother's name. Hospitals didn't ask questions back then, as long as you paid the bill.

I think you are right. The people who want a legitimate certified copy of the COLB are barking up the wrong tree. I think the information of the COLB could accurately reflect what Hawaii considers who BHO legally is, but the actual facts are different that. We need to see the real birth certificate, because there is something really embarrassing there.
