Dodd placed this section into the final stimulus bill, making him responsible, along with Obama, for AIG receiving these bonuses.

It is becoming more obvious by the day that 0bama doesn’t know how to CYA very well.
The stimulus bill has nothing to do with this...the fed gave AIG the money. Thus we can stop the bonuses or make AIG get them back.

Exactly what I was saying earlier. If the bonuses were legal, they can’t do a thing about it. Other than make a lot of noise. I have also said before, there is more to this than meets the eye. It’s basically politicians taking care of money people and then playing dumb.

I believe, for starters, that the bail out money was in the form of preferred stock, not voting stock, for the most part.
Furthermore, even if you own 100% of a company, outright, it does NOT give you the right to ignore valid contracts.

Did someone send to Rush & Hannity? We are all being played for fools by both 0bama and the MSM with all of the blowhard reacting to the bonuses. I suppose no one had time to read that part of the bill before it went through. AIG is laughing all the way to the bank, pun intended.
The stimulus bill SHOULD have nothing to do with this. However, woven within the stimulus bill are laws dealing with executive bonuses. Just like health care laws were in the stimulus bill.
