So what will all HR1388 cost? I contacted the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) today and they are still waiting for the Education and Labor Committee to release the Bill to them so they can crunch the numbers and finalize their work.

The Rule is once the Bill is voted on in Committee and it passes (in Committee) then they release it to CBO. It is pretty routine.

So, the Committee voted last Wednesday, 3/11/09 and the Bill passed 34-3. I assume they had some cost estimates in the Bill in order for them to vote in Committee. Right? So, what are they waiting for and why are they stalling to give it to the CBO.

I think they are waiting for the last possible second to give it to the CBO so it won't be available for Public consumption until last possible moment...the day before the House Vote. So another Bill the entire House won't fully read. Of all Bills not to read. Good grief.

As far as the actual cost of the program, I asked CBO how the costs compared to the 2007 version of The Give Act (H.R.2857). She said and I quote, “Oh, ..Oh..it will be generously more.”

She hoped to have the cost estimates available for public consumption tomorrow.

There were some estimates already in the blogosphere stating about $1 billion dollars appropriated for JUST 2010. Not confirmed by CBO yet but wow!

HR1388 is an outrageous waste of taxpayer’s money NOT to mention Unconstitutional.

It talks about uniforms and “camps.” They revise the word “camps” and call it “campus.” There is language about Seniors and Community organizations.”

Cost is irrelevant. The Give Act is to enshrine creation of President Obortion’s “Gestapo and SS Corps” - a nationalist communist league of goons to remove liberties and conservative advocates from the nation... it is anti Liberty and anti Freedom. This Corps will be on the other side of the front line when the counter coup begins.
