SEATTLE - The Seattle Post-Intelligencer, which has chronicled the news of the city since logs slid down its steep streets to the harbor and miners caroused in its bars before heading north to Alaska's gold fields, will print its final edition Tuesday.

Internet-only version is the first for a large American newspaper, raising questions about whether the company can make money in a medium where others have come up short. If they would just honestly report the news, they would make money regardless of the medium.

The Paper's are dying. The reason is not being stated, but:
1) Insulting to more than 1/2 of it's readership.
2)Palatable Bias
3)Critical of the Businesses that buy it's advertising
4)Uncritical of Democratic Leadership in it's state
5)Sycophantic Adulation of Candidate Obama
Result: BORED READERSHIP
Did I guess it rightly?

Forgot to add now that they will be web-only, the Seattle PI will have to maintain their leftist political correctness:
DISCLAIMER: To combat global-warming and remain eco and dolphin-friendly, our web news has been created on 100% recycled hard-drive space. No electrons were harmed during creation or transmission only slightly inconvenienced.

The only reason this is happening is poor editorial policy. Too much liberal garbage is not palatable even to the rabid libs in the NorthWest. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

LOL!!! yep, that sounds like something that would come from a daily rag published in that liberal cesspool aka seattle.

Also, get this, some papers now outsource the "news" to people working in India. Just inept business policies all the way around, and now that entrepreneurship is to be discouraged and punished, we won't be seeing them again.
However, anybody that wants to make a ton of money, start a local paper and print legal notices.
