Actors - Is there anything they dont know?
Most of them know only how to appear, not how to be.

"The naysayers are a negative force," said Postlethwaite...Well we just can't leave these "negative forces" mucking about gumming up the works, can we Peter? They will obviously have to be neutralized. Now how can we best accomplish this most noble of social goals? Does recent history, say in the last century, offer us any hints?

Global warming was caused by a lack of electrolytes. Everyone knows that. They are what a cloud needs!

I caught a Science Channel program this morning that said the earth goes through a 21,000 year cycle, during which time many changes occur that are definitely outside man’s ability to control. Things like the shape of our orbit around the sun and stuff like that. There’s never been a time in the history of this planet when there wasn’t climate change. Gore, Postlethwaite and others are simply too myopic to see that there are bigger things than our carbon emissions at work here.

Still, it's the most well-named movie ever, so you have to give it credit for that.
I looked up the plot summary on IMDB and it was apparently filmed on several continents--North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. I trust that the filmmakers traveled to each location on gliders and bicycles.

He played the really creeeeepy disgusting guy on Sharpes Rifles, right? Yes, he did. I believe he was the Sergeant who ordered Sharpe's flogging early on in his Army career. Dang! I wish I could remember his name!

I wish I could remember his name! Pete Postlethwaite... Sgt. Obadiah Hakeswill
I once read that Sgt. Hakeswill's nervous tic and talking into his hat weren't in the script, Postlethwaite came up with that on his own.

"Ive never even heard of this fool."I remember him from the movie In The Name Of The Father, for which he received an Academy Award nomination. It was a well acted film based on a real story.

OK, the Hollywood actors and a certain former Vice-President handsomely profiting from "global warming" are certain there is man-made climate change and 650 distinguished scientists have signed a letter denying the science of that assertion.
So, do we go with the Hollywood actors and the whack-job V.P. (whose own Nashville mansion has a higher monthly electrical bill than most people's mortgage payment) who really do know it all?

No. Those who frighten little children with ecological lies are the negative force.
