Obama Is Serious About a Civilian National Security Force
Townhall Blog ^ | March 15, 2009

Posted on 03/15/2009 5:06:02 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

One thing about President Barack Hussein Obama, he usually means what he says, at least initially that is. He is always having to back track to cover up the things he really meant when he said it the first time. For example, he said the Rearend Wright was his spirtual mentor. Anyone who has studied the guy knows that this was truly what he meant, but of course Obama had to eventually dump the Rearend when he continued to hear flack about that asscociation of twenty years. Then there are many things he has spoken that are so unfamiliar with the typical American lexicon that they have been shrugged off as just campaign rhetoric. When he mentioned about having a "civilian national security force" that was just as strong and equally funded as the military, it went without hardly a mention by the major news outlets. Obama has never been pressed on this, and so he has not had to do his kabuki dance around what he meant. Oh, you heard about it in conservative pockets, like on Townhall, and on my blog on Yahoo 360. The thing is, this President is serious about what he says. In the video from July when he said it, the people just clapped on cue like a bunch of Obamatons while their beloved candidate was telling them that he will have a federal security force within our own country to enforce the coming federal mandates upon the states and the people.

Here's the comments from July, along with a well done illustration using the music from the "Sing for Change" kiddies that were used during the campaign. Thanks to Brain Dead Republican on youtube.

(VIDEO AT LINK)

Well, Mr. President Obama repeated his remarks just the other day at the dedication of Abraham Lincoln Hall at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C..

"And that’s why my administration is committed to renewing diplomacy as a tool of American power, and to developing our civilian nationanl security capabilities… … We have to enlist our civilians in the same way that we enlist those members of the armed services in understanding this broad mission that we have."

You can read more extensively by going to a great site called RightReborn.com . Their post has extensive links on this topic, including an audio clip from the Mark Levin show that has the above comments by Obama. During the campaign, I kept steering people to Investor's Business Daily and their series Audacity of Socialism. RightReborn also mentions IBD and one of the articles of that series. What good is information if it is never received and acted on in wisdom? The past couple of years have been a frustrating exercise for those who seek to truly inform others. There just does not seem to be much reception until everything goes to hell in a handbasket.

There are a lot of Americans that think poorly of the president right now, and more are develop that opinion every day. Instituting a national security force just could be the line in the sand that you hear about. I thing the Prez. should consider the consequences of a move like that, first.

This is where his community organizations in urban nieghborhoods through out the US will be utilized, recrute, equipe and fund just as well as our military. His own personel military force who will be beholden to him because they will be employed by him. SCARY, that they let him get away with even stating this let alone allowing him to implement it. This is Nazi Germany?

I don't see it possible for Obama or the Democrat Congress to be able to get a 3/4 ratification vote by the states to give Obama a "lifetime presidency".
<<

All this takes time and several states are in the process of passing legislation that requires all candidates to present suitable identification credentials. If only one state has this law by 2012, the BHO will have to comply or withdraw.

I don't know the latest that someone can apply to be a candidate for that election cycle, but it has got to be several months before any primaries start. This means that the "natural born" issue would come to a head in late 2011.

Based on the ratification history of some recent proposed amendments, as a practical matter the Constitutional requirements to ratify cannot be met in time.

BHO is going to be a one term president unless he comes clean. One sign that he will be preparing to will be that his talking head sycophants will introduce a plausible explanation for his recalcitrance, and I'll bet it will be totally out of the blue. Like, nice and innocent.

Of course, this isn’t much of a threat, probably — it’ll be used as a free summer camp to get the kids out of the ‘hood and out of their parents’ hair.

Sounds like he is provoking a showdown so he can institute marshal law.

One of the states is my state, Oklahoma. The other two are Arizona and Missouri. I’m working with a legislator to get that through (just as a citizen...).

I was hoping to see about, maybe, 20 states to get it on the books. That would be an absolute nightmare for Obama.... :-)

"Obama’s handlers won’t allow this until his popularty rebounds."

We'll see it as a result of the inevitable terrorist attack here in the US. I think his Nat. Securtity Force goal is one of the many reasons he won't be all that strong on national or home land defense. He needs the "terroist attack" crisis to establish his brown shirt brigade.

Obama is a front man, and by watching the installation of the Clintonistas in his cabinet, it should be clear that OTHERS are actually at the heart of this election, and many other elections in past.
The CFR and Bildebergers control politics, wars etc...do some research on it, it’s out there.

They will not be employed by HIM. They will be funded by the government which means that, even though there mission will be to destroy us, we’ll be footing the bill.

I would aprreciate any source you could provide. Such action is clearly prohibited by the Constitution and runs counter to the oath they took [and I took] to preserve, protect, and defend the Constituion. It also subverts the idea of civilian control over the military. The JCS were not elected by anyone and have no standing to decide what they believe are in the best interests of the United States and override civilian control of the military and the President as CIC.

I just don't believe that any such formal process was ever put in place. It runs counter to everything this nation stands for. We are not some third world banana republic that can have a miliary junta takeover the country. This is just plain bogus.

I hear what you’re saying. The soldiers aren’t the enemy-the slime that push gun control are the enemy. That’s who should reap the fire if things break down.

The "soldiers", whether military, national guard, or the militarized local police forces, have sworn to protect the very people who infringe our rights. It's an interesting ethical dilemma.

The entire "house of cards" which is gun control has been enabled by 70 years of purposeful mal-interpretations of the Miller case. Now that the cards are falling, it's time for the "soldiers" to start taking note of the fact that they have been on the wrong side for nearly a century. They owe us the duty of questioning their superiors and demanding explanations, lest the tyranny continue.

He needs a force that hasn’t sworn to protect the constitution, but has sworn personal loyalty to him.

Just like the SS and Hitler.

Our freedom loving founders did not find compulsory militia service to be sickening. Freedom has a price, and as part of the social contract, we have to commit to defend the government that defends us. Now “when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism ...” You know the rest of the story.

I can envision the messiah using the ranks of the unemployed to create his own personal army cadre. Claim it as “voluntary” with plenty of freebees and perks. The higher the rank/zealot the greater the perks.

As agree with you to a point. However, if Nixon had wigged out in his final days and tried to use the military to stay in power. That could have been an interesting series of events.

As I recall, the article stated they had put a process to handle that if it happened.

As a source, well as best as I can recall it appeared in The Washington Post within a couple of months of Nixon leaving office.

If you have access to Nexus or another way to search old articles you would find it.
