President Obama is starting to sound a lot like John McCain these days:
Today, President Obama said, "if we are keeping focused on all the fundamentally sound aspects of our economy, all the outstanding companies, workers, all the innovation, and dynamism in this country, then we're going to get through this. And I'm very confident about that."
It seems like ages ago, but when John McCain came out in September and said the "fundamentals of the economy are strong" candidate Obama responded furiously, in what became a defining moment of the campaign.

Crisis, crisis, crisis, crisis, crisis, crisis.......NOW SUDDENLY EVERYTHING IS OK????? What did I miss?
36 quinzillion dollars borrowed from the Chinese for stimulus. Everything is all better now unless you vote for a Republican, in which case all the kittens in the world will die.
He is trying to say that we need a second stimulus package to keep the economy going.
Nothing to see here. Move along, move along . . .
Nothing. Obama fixed it. All of it. Every last bit of it.
Done.
This bozo doesn’t know his a$$ from a hole in the ground.
And It’s all over now baby blue.
I expect to hear the mocking voices in the media any day now
Unbelievable.
Obama’s declining poll numbers?
Humpty Dumpty got fixed?
You didn’t miss much — just one trillion dollars flushed down the toilet.
Hey......how about those Lakers!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Never mind.
He is Trying to gain some Credibility, Well I guess we can Believe him , Last week the end of the world ,now Everything
is coming up roses , Boy this guy sure has Principles you can Believe in ,Just dial 1-800-obama for the Next wind direction.
A rally was long overdue. Now the banks are publicizing their "operating earnings", and Obama's trying to talk up the economy since he's gotten the initial set of things he wanted jammed through, and is taking criticism for talking down the economy.
In 6 to 8 weeks, it is likely that the news will turn bad again (e.g., big Eastern Europe bank failures, GM and Chrysler back at the trough, a Fannie/Freddie request for more money, bad international trade numbers, etc) and we'll get pounded with the bad news for a while.
Herr Goebbels would be proud of the American press and all the illustrious members of the Democrat party.
IMHO
