A freshman representative has introduced a bill to the U.S. Congress that would require presidential candidates to provide a birth certificate and other documents to prove their eligibility to occupy the Oval Office.
Rep. Bill Posey, R-Fla., filed H.R. 1503, an amendment to the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, which increased required campaign fund disclosure and was later amended to establish the Federal Elections Commission.
According to the Library of Congress' bill-tracking website, H.R. 1503 would "require the principal campaign committee of a candidate for election to the office of president to include with the committee's statement of organization a copy of the candidate's birth certificate, together with such other documentation as may be necessary to establish that the candidate meets the qualifications for ...

Yes we do, but the bill is D.O.A.
bump. and E_MAILED to friends , Have them get in touch with their congressmen , to sign on.
My Congress critter is a Democrat, but I’ll email him anyway.
There’s no good reason to oppose it.
And if Obama wants to run for re-election he’ll have to prove eligibility.
Never hurts to try , maybe we can get enough support that it will not die in committee
WHY IS THIS NOT RETROACTIVE????
Broadcast the new acronym:
O ne
B ig
A ss
M istake
A merica!
It is the Viche. Those traitors French who worked and profited from the Nazis occupation of their nation. Sad, these are the times our nation faces.
They have to let them know it’s similar to sedition to oppose it (Of course the counter will be mandate, peoples choice, Allende style). Also, they have to get it out to the people and push what documents they don’t have and Illinois persons responsible (DNC as well, and FBI), for his vetting. The also have to cite the law... not only re: birth and amendments, but the vetting process. They should also jump ahead and have lets of private meetings (like dems) and let it leak not of impeachment, but give a sense of it. Also make them think you have documents.
(Maybe the link of the raid and the passport situation, something like that)
The situation with Public Allies (long story, the Obamas were hands on with starting it with Gamaliel’s help-you don’t want to know), being involved in the civilian national force (formed in the Clinton election run days with the Obama’s in Chicago, in which Obama was a vote getter, see E. St Louis fraud from his group, other situations still up)
I would go for mental illness.
Based on acquaintances alone, he should have been allowed to run.
I bet he still has his site open taking donations from overseas as well.
Why not, he’s doing financial jihad, approving more in, sending Hamas money... you name it.
I’m to believe this guy’s a constitutional lawyer?
No clue on separation of powers, private vs. public, what are rights in the constitution.
For the same reason CAIR has lawyers or the ACLU, to tear down. He bought that diploma.
BTW, he messed up signing the omnibus, it said the restrictions on ESCResearch were continued (as every year since enacted), so congress has to repeal it.
If you ask me, if the hill demands a line by line of the monster trillion bill, they’ll find enough to use as well.
A BIG MAYBE, but what the heck I’ll email my Rep. Not that he’ll agree (Democrat), but I’ll send it anyway.
presidental CANDIDATES should have to be vetted by undergoing a background check for access to classified inofrmation
it is unbelievably stupid that “we the people” who OWN the classified information generated at our expense for our defense- are not protected from malfeasance in its handling
We need to man the phones to congress again to get this bill on the floor, past the Pelosi machine, and into debate. If not now, then for sure in 2010!
This is essential.
bump
I don’t know if they can pass it or not, but image if it does...and Øbama has to decline his party’s nomination next cycle.

Action Plans to Maintain the Qualifications for the Office of the President

Evidently, Roger Calero of the Socialists Workers Party is not an American citizen, yet his named appeared on the ballots for president in various states in 2004 and 2008.
etc...
"Florida Dem chair: Fla. Republicans ‘refuse to accept the fact that Barack Obama is the President’
Rep. Posey’s unusual legislation also just drew fire from Florida Democratic Party Chair Karen Thurman, who emailed party members that “Florida's Republicans are in denial. They refuse to accept the fact that Barack Obama is the President of the United States.”
I don't see anything “unusual” in enacting laws to maintain the Qualifications of the Office of the President. I wish the representatives in the various states would introduce laws to prevent people like Roger Calero, a non-citizen, from being on the ballot for President.
Calero was on the ballot in Delaware, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, and Vermont. Harris (his stand-in) is on in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Louisiana, and Washington. Harris is a qualified write-in candidate in California.
