"It should be obvious we are being sold down the river by both parties."

Nothing is obvious to people that place blind faith in others, then refuse to hold those others accountable when the betrayal is uncovered.

The fundamental problem that plagues our nation is not the Democratic Party or the Republican Party, but their party loyalists that follow blindly, of which both registered Democrats and Republicans are responsible. It is they that provide the vehicle upon which the betrayers ride. In the ultimate ruse, the party loyalists do not even hold themselves responsible for the part they played in elevating the betrayers.

It seems to me that the vast majority of citizens are totally oblivious. They are willing to accept the garbage on TV as the truth. I do not hold out any hope they will awaken in time to avert disaster.

Back in the early 90's attending Libertarian Party meetings I saw the same thing there: high-and-tight uptights and amoral Birkenstockers vying for influence while ignoring the platform. I asked Harry Browne about this (he was a very accessible and nice fellow) and he said that it wasn't much different from those in the 1770's, except this lot still had much to learn from that group.

Then he let out a great sigh, bucked up and went on schmoozing.

The Platform is the mission and that mission is about serving America - if you can't check your ego at the door or put profit above patriotism you shouldn't be involved in politics.

Correction: Patriotism above profit. LOL. Is it Spoonerism or Freudian slip? I say it’s being subjected to over a million commercials via media taking up valuable brain cells.
