COLUMBIA, S.C. -- South Carolina legislators will see a plan to get around Gov. Mark Sanford's opposition to the federal stimulus money.
Senate Finance Committee Chairman Hugh Leatherman of Florence says he'll introduce a resolution Thursday to allow the legislature to spend the money that Sanford opposes.
Leatherman says he isn't happy about the need to use the stimulus money, but says the state has no choice. He says without the stimulus money, key state programs would be cut.

Mark Sanford ping!
At all costs the government must never be cut!
“He says without the stimulus money, key state programs would be cut.”
And smaller government is bad how exactly? Cut the fat in the social programs, fix the potholes and hire more cops.
Someone should go to this guy’s house and nail a copy of the Bill of Rights and a Gadsden flag to his front door. (Not that I’d ever advocate for doing such a thing...)
Didn’t the Civil War start in SOUTH CAROLINA?
Yep. They were the first to secede and the attack on Fort Sumter was the ‘official’ beginning of the war.
