Meghan McCain, daughter of John, has written a column critical of Ann Coulter. Tonight she appeared on Rachel Maddow’s show to discuss the column and her efforts to push the Republican party in a more moderate direction.
I don’t want to be too critical of Meghan. She’s 24, seems sincere and likable, and has the moxie to put herself out there. So let me offer a constructive suggestion: instead of telling us what you don’t like about Republicans, tell us what you do. Meghan did say that she loves the Republican party. But why? If Republicans are going to listen to her message of moderation, they’re going to have be convinced that she shares most of their core principles.
Listening to her tonight on Maddow, and reading her anti-Ann column, the only Republican-y positions I heard were that Meghan is: opposed to pork, is pro-military and supported the war in Iraq and the surge. But other than that, she doesn’t seem to share much with most Republicans. For example, we also learned that Meghan:

Considering the radical direction to the left that the current administration and the demoncratically controlled congress is taking this country, my advice to Meghan is to STHU and stay away from political discussions for which you are not mentally prepared to engage in.
My advise to Meghan McCain is to find some other way to act out.
At least she went easy on the eye makeup here. Some of the pictures I’ve seen of her make my eyes burn in sympathy.
Did Mandow try to pick her up ?

She seems like a typical country club Republican — light on principles and heavy on makeup.
I don't think the use of "on Maddow" is wise when one is talking about another woman who has yet to be proven homosexual.
my advice: close your mouth. and it has to do with your weight not politics.
They were talking about this on O’Reilly tonight. They were pointing out the the blog that Megyn McCain does is owned by Tina Brown who is a lefty. So that might partially explain why Megyn McCain is saying the things she is saying.
