Report: Bristol Palin and Fiancé Split
TODAY ^ | 03.11.09 | STAFF

The pair, parents to 2-month-old son Tripp, broke up 'a few weeks ago'

Bristol Palin and her fiancé Levi Johnston have broken up, two sources tell PEOPLE.

The split happened "a few weeks ago," according to a source close to the couple, but it's unclear what precipitated it. "It was a mutual thing," adds the source.

"It kind of just happened," says the source, referring to the split. "I thought they would stick it out. But I think they can work together to raise Tripp."

Despite the breakup, Levi still sees the couple's son. Levi's dad, Keith Johnston, told PEOPLE recently that his son is a devoted and "proud father."

Bristol, meanwhile, is attending Wasilla High, taking a class to supplement course work she is completing at home. She also is considering enrolling in college next fall and studying nursing.

For heavens sakes....

You are still here trying to make a statement giving away your flesh and blood???

Dude, give it a rest.....

There are people on this site that love our children and will stand by them no matter what.

Enough.

I don’t believe I actually used the term “fornicator,” but do you believe that the word is inherently an attack? Is the use of the very word “fornication” an attack?

Even if true?

Do you believe calling those who perpetrate a sin formerly considered a crime “perps” is an attack?

I propose that you don’t like the label because you don’t like the facts.

“Foul stench of condemnation?” I do try to distinguish between condemning sin and condemning people; I’m sorry that distinction seems lost on you.

Do you, for the record, condemn fornication? Just curious?

You’ll forgive me if I decide when to speak and when to hold my peace.

Issue is, you do not hold your peace...thus this long thread.

You would give up your own granschild if a offspring had one out of wedlock.

I find that very disturbing.

That boggles my mind.

You and you alone, kept this thread going...

You make sense and I learn from your posts. What am I missing here? I haven’t read the entire thread.

I can tell you the facts right now:

For the record, I do condemn fornication. That being said, I don't condemn Bristol or her choice to keep her baby.

You're like a broken record repeating the same mantra. There's no point posting to you, as it is a waste of time, and that is also a sin.

Thanks.

This guy thinks that a woman should give the baby up for adoption because she is not married. No matter what. No matter if the baby willbe brought into a loving family.

I am thinking, strange, and very disturbing.

He has posted for many posts, grandparents, loving mother does not matter, give the baby away.

Makes me shudder, I do not get it. I am glad that I do not.

Creepy.

I kept the thead going primarily by noting that attacks and insults rather than rational reply were the primary responses to the still-unanswered questions I have asked:

How does deliberate single parenthood uphold the importance of committed, married fatherhood?

How does deliberate single parenthood uphold the importance of committed marriage as the proper context for childrearing?

Did you note my post:

“I don’t argue for adoption at any cost, but I do in fact argue that adoption by suitable, committed married parents, when it is possible, is better than deliberate single parenthood, both for the development of the child and for the overall health of society.”

I do not argue for adoption “No matter what.”

But nuance is wasted, it seems, when you can just go straight to insults.

Your were indeed stalwart in your arguments.

I salute your commitment to your positions, even though we disagree on many points.

Sorry, I can not fathom your opinions at all.

You have openly said that you would rather give up your grandchild for adoption because your child was not married.

What ever, I think you are a bit nuts.

We can debate this until the end of the world. I think you are very cold.

There is no reason to discuss this further.

I think you keep ion this thread to get a rise out of people that have warm blood running in their veins.

Out of context on this thread maybe, but I am so happy Pope Benny is our Pope. I also liked JP2 but like Pope Benny more.

How charitable of you to leave with an insult. Have a good evening, then.

Since he has committed that sin, (along with pride, arrogance and others) or caused it's commission (also a sin) in such a public way here on FR I wonder what type of public remediation shall be sufficient.

Why ask of Bristol a task one is not willing to do themselves when committing an equally public sin, no matter the magnitude.

Sauce for the goose...

(Nothing like having a priest with email for a friend)

Thank you, though sadly you still think we actually disagree on many points when in fact it is so few.
