Busch Beer?
That will make anyone quit drinking!
Seattle’s answer to the panhandlers problem. Keep them drunk they’ll be off the street.
Payback for voting for the Messiah.
If they were moderately serious, they'd have kegs delivered. For really large scale consumption, beer causes problems anyway. What goes in has got to come out, and after 20 in a couple hours - not much thinking goes into were it comes out. That house must have some rather complex aromas. Hundred proof, bottom shelf vodka is the obvious next step.
Either that, or we could stop providing government funded safe houses for alcoholics to continue their slow deaths. Just a thought...
Something is wrong here. All they need do is hook up with the fat welfare momma down the road from me. She’s got a free house, free satellite TV, steaks sizzling on the grill and all the beer you can drink, courtesy of my taxes.
WA State ping
Free beer?
Oh, wait. It’s Busch. It’s not like it’s actually “beer”. Gotta dispose of that stuff somehow. I’m not sure it’s fair to take advantage of bums like this though.
"sigh"
"...public funds are spent on housing that allows alcoholics to drink in their publicly subsidized apartments."
"A Downtown Emergency Service Center van unloading huge quantities of beer for the residents of this building. This program is funded both privately and publicly - taxpayer funds have gone to this project from the City of Seattle, King County, US Dept of HUD, Washington State Housing Finance Commission. and the State of Washington Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development."
Looks like someone’s been making too many food deliveries as well!
Guilty!
Home is where the beer is.
Heck, that isn’t “huge amounts.” That’s a weekend!
There's the problem - it's being run by a bunch of Dicks.
Give’em Natural Light or expired Yngling.
DOWNTOWN EMERGENCY SERVICE CENTER WINS MAXWELL AWARD OF EXCELLENCE[Excerpt. Emphasis added. Read full press release here. ]WASHINGTON, D.C. On Friday January 25, Fannie Mae Foundation and Partnership to End Long Term Homelessness presented the Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC) with the 2007 Maxwell Award of Excellence for their 1811 Eastlake supportive housing project for chronic alcoholics. The Fannie Mae Foundation also awarded DESC a $75,000 grant to continue its work in the field of supportive housing for chronically homeless individuals.
I guarantee you those aholes at Downtown Emergency Services Center will say, “See, It’ Busch beer. It has a lower alcohol content than the High Gravity they usually drink. We’re actually helping them by bringing this stuff to them.”
