The vast new left-wing conspiracy sets its tone every morning at 8:45 a.m., when officials from more than 20 labor, environmental and other Democratic-leaning groups dial into a private conference call hosted by two left-leaning Washington organizations.
The 8:45 A.M. call, as its referred to by members, began three weeks ago, and it marks a new level in coordination by the White Houses allies at a time when the conservative opposition is struggling for a toe-hold and major agenda items like health care reform appear closer than ever to passage.
The call has helped attempts to link the Republican Party to radio host Rush Limbaugh, and has served as the launching ground for attacks on critics of Obamas policy proposals. It springs from a recognition of what was lacking in the Clinton years, said Jennifer Palmieri, the senior vice president for communications at the Center for American Progress Action Fund, one of the groups hosting the call.
[CAP President John] Podestas and my experience was in the White House during the Clinton years, and we didnt have a coordinated echo chamber on the outside backing us up, she said. Theres a real interest on the progressive side for groups to want to coordinate with each other and leverage each others work in a way I havent ever seen before.

Coordinating the rush to Socialism.
This is nothing new even though Politico has the report.
During Clinton years, the Dems used to send out a fax every morning to give the talking points of the day for people around the Country to call in Talk Radio.
The real truth is these people are bogus amd a sham.
Right. Isn't this when Rush coined the term “seminar caller”??
The only news here is that they actually think they can pretend this is entirely new.
Oh how I would love to get that number.
Bet your arse Rahm Emanuel’s on one of those lines, giving out the day’s talking points.
if conference calls were the key to gaining power, then my former employer would rule the Universe by now...
why that blog? Not many view that blog.
Jerks talking to jerks. Do any of these people realize we can’t afford their nostrums?
Conservatives can hold conference calls just as easily as they can.
Its rather active, and Christine who runs it is one of the leaders of those two conference calls that is mentioned in Politico. I posted the Essay “The Role of Congress in the Recession of 2008” on a relevant thread, we will see if it makes it past their Moderator.
Any bets on that?
I posted under my FR name and used my FR mail address so likely they are trying to figure out who the heck I am.
This is governing by dorm-room bull session. Let’s hope the meetings continue. Besides, as soon as one of these insiders feels slighted, there will be leaks — which should be fun. That will probably end this little Obama initiative.
“Echo chamber”? Sounds like the star chamber to me
So what topic is it under?
