Efforts in more than half of the state legislatures to assert state sovereignty under the 10th Amendment to the Constitution and prevent unwanted impositions by the federal government are now running into serious partisan opposition. Most of these bills have been introduced and are supported by Republican legislators and Democrats are doing everything they can to block them and make sure that their states comply with federal mandates issued by a national Congress dominated by their party.

“All Politics is Local” said the Democrats.

Then came Newt Gingrich, who “Nationalized” political races for Congress.

Now?

Now the Dems are Nationalizing not only Congress, but the State Legislatures and the Governors races, as well!

Lets roll!

Is anyone really surprised that state Dems would be blocking the wishes of the citizens of their states?

Kick the bastards out! Recall the opposition. They work for the citizens of their respective states.

This could result in a backlash against Democrats in 2010.

“This could result in a backlash against Democrats in 2010.”

This WILL result in a backlash against Democrats in 2010.

Fixed it. The Dems will pay a heavy price for this, amongst many other acts of stupidity.

It was citizens of their states that put the state Dems in office. Those citizens may want the Dems they put in office to block the wishes of the citizens who couldn’t get their crap together well enough to get their candidates elected.

Question: How many state level Dems run as liberals? (other than the NE & Cali). If they ran as conservatives and got elected, then they are blocking the wishes of the citizens of their states.

But I will admit to the part about the conservatives not being very well organized.

As much as we would wish it so, I'm not so sure there will be much in the way of repercussions for Dims. The Dims have become the party of big feral government Nannycrats. The coalition of victims the Nannycrats have cultivated aren't the least bit interested in bringing the feral government to heel. Far from it. As far as they're concerned, the bigger the better. They don't want to be bothered with the duties and obligations of being free. The plantation sounds like a really cool place to them where most of their earthly needs will be met by their benefactors. The fact their benefactors can and will turn on them will be a problem for the next generation to deal with. Delusional simpletons that apparently make up a goodly portion of the electorate. And the popular "culture" along with government schooling means it's only going to get worse.

If you think conservatives might turn out over this issue, next time you're in the barber shop as I was today, just casually bring up the subject of the 9th and 10th Amendments to our Constitution and see the puzzled faces around the room even after explaining their meaning. This movement is a long way from hitting mainstream thought and you can bet your last bale of hay our Nannycrat cheerleaders in the complicit media will make sure it remains that way. If this movement is to gain any traction and visibility at all, we conservatives will have to figure out a way to make it happen.

Now I gotta take an afternoon snooze before my forehead hits my keyboard.
