SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) - Montgomery County police say 16 people were arrested after a fight broke out during a concert held to promote nonviolence and to remember a Silver Spring teen killed last year.
The free Stop the Violence youth concert was held Saturday night on Ellsworth Street in downtown Silver Spring in memory of 14-year-old Montgomery Blair High School student Tai Lam, who was shot to death in November.
Police say fighting broke out near the stage toward the end of the concert and at least one person resisted arrest. Police say 16 adults and juveniles were arrested for offenses such as assault and disorderly conduct.

Mixed Unity? Oh brother - an oxymoronic load of tosh.
Sounds like they could have used a Community Organizer.
Whoops! Mr. Frogjerk warned me about making sure that this was not posted already. I didn't listen to him as usual.
Oh well, flame away!
“Kind of like littering and creating huge amounts of garbage during an Earth Day concert.”
Or campaigning on hope and change then bringing in the ENTIRE clinton entourage, including Shrillary herself...
There’s always bloodshed at these “stop the violence” rallies. Gangstaz gotta keep it real.
I suppose when you’re petitioning the city for a venue license or similar, it’s always best to disguise the event as a “non-violence concert” rather than what it is—a big street party, all comers invited, bring cash. That way you don’t have to pay for police overtime or, god forbid, your own security.
Delicious irony... I shot at the Montgomery Blair HS indoor rifle range in the 70’s.
I don’t recall these types of things happening.
This is my one-time home town which was once pleasant and is no more. It is directly on the line bordering DC, governed by totaliatarian leftist Democrats and no longer a safe or desirable place to be. Good memories. Sad realities.

He should have dusted off his hands, and said, "before we continue, are there any questions?" ;')
