Expected 10,000 to gather in San Diego on April 4th
WASHINGTON, Feb. 25 /Christian Newswire/ -- On April 4, 2009, Joel C. Rosenberg, the "New York Times" best-selling author of "Epicenter: Why The Current Rumblings in the Middle East Will Change Your Future," will host the 2009 Epicenter Conference at Cox Arena in San Diego, Calif. This free event will examine rising global geopolitical and economic crises in light of Bible prophecy. Rosenberg will be joined by Lt.-General (ret.) Jerry Boykin, the former commander of the Army's Delta Force and the former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence; and Pastor Chuck Smith, the renowned Bible teacher, prophecy expert and founder of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.
"With wars and rumors of wars dominating the Middle East, the eyes of the world are riveted on Israel, Iran, Iraq, and their neighbors, the epicenter of the dramatic events that are shaking our world and shaping our future," said Rosenberg, whose new non-fiction book "Inside The Revolution" releases March 10. "Americans are reading apocalyptic headlines out of the Mideast. They're looking for answers to questions like: Is there any chance of peace in the Holy Land in the future? Why are Iran's leaders saying the end of the world is 'imminent,' and the way to hasten the coming of the Islamic Messiah is to annihilate the U.S. and Israel? How will coming events in the Mideast affect us as Americans, economically and geopolitically?"
Rosenberg, with more than 1.5 million copies of his books in print, is a popular guest on CNN, Fox, MSNBC, and the History Channel. He noted that the emergence of a new American President, a new Israeli Prime Minister, and upcoming elections in Iran in June are changes creating additional volatility and uncertainty concerning the future of the Mideast and how Americans will be affected by developments there.
"Wherever General Boykin, Pastor Chuck Smith and I travel, we meet people increasingly anxious about the future of the United States, Israel, and the Islamic world," said Rosenberg. "I'm honored that these two distinguished experts in military intelligence and Bible prophecy respectively will join me to help Americans better understand current events through the lenses of geopolitics and economics, and the 'third lens' of Scripture."
The San Diego event will be the first Epicenter Conference held in the U.S. The first was held in Jerusalem in April 2008.

SOUNDS GREAT.
Joel is very tuned in and in touch, also, with great sources.
Lieutenant General William G. Boykin (Retired) was the United States Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence. He has played a role in almost every recent major American military operation, serving in Grenada, Somalia, and Iraq. He is currently a professor at Hampden-Sydney College, Virginia, and author of “Never Surrender: A Soldier’s Journey to the Crossroads of Faith and Freedom.”
Boykin is a born-again Christian, who has cast the “War on Terror” in apocalyptic terms. A Pentagon investigation concluded in 2004 that he had violated regulations by failing to explain these remarks were not made in an official capacity.
Boykin achieved wide-spread media coverage for his statements that appeared to frame the War on Terror in religious terms, first broadcast on NBC News, October 15, 2003 [12]. William Arkin,[13] military analyst for NBC-TV News, was the source of the video and audiotapes of Boykin. The following day the Los Angeles Times ran a piece on Boykin. Amongst several quotes, the LA Times article revealed Boykin giving a speech about hunting down Osman Atto in Mogadishu: “He went on CNN and he laughed at us, and he said, ‘They’ll never get me because Allah will protect me. Allah will protect me.’ Well, you know what? I knew that my God was bigger than his. I knew that my God was a real God and his was an idol.
Israel will be alright because it has the protection of God. America has had Gods’ protection, too, but will lose that protection as soon as we turn our backs on Israel. I fear that is going to happen under Obama.
I go to a large (and really solid) Bible church in McLean, Virginia. You may have heard our pastor’s radio spots on your stations from time to time, “Just a thought, not a sermon.” Anyway, I kept seeing Joel Rosenberg’s name in the bulletin teaching a men’s class or what have you. I thought, wow, I would really like to know in advance when he’s going to be here. Went to the information desk and was told, “He’s a member!” I had no idea. I thought, just how cool is that?

IHMO, having read his books, Rosenberg is a poor writer who uses his stories for nothing other than a thinly veiled cover for prosthletizing.
Prosthletizing? Hmm. Boykin - famous for not knowing when it is appropriate to flap his yap. He can do it now, though.
“Pastor Chuck Smith, the renowned Bible teacher, prophecy expert”
How does one become a prophecy expert? Since he clearly has no record of predictions on which to stand, how does one judge his accuracy? I put as much faith in remote viewing.
If you go to that website, you’ll see this...
